@@TmcksnT That is an oversimplification. Firstly, there is a continuous adjustment to prices both internally and externally. Secondly, there is the psychology of security and trust in the USD amongst the money managers. But the day will come when for one reason or another the trust will be broken because the debt is going in only one direction.
@TmcksnT
@TmcksnT 10 күн бұрын
@@gdiwolverinemale4th ofc it's an oversimplification, it's a YT comment. You keep focusing on the debt. This is missing the point. The government can get rid of the debt if it wants to tomorrow. It could print a zillion dollars and trust me that debt to GDP will go right down to 0 next year. But they can't do that overnight, it's too obvious. So they'll do it gradually, like they have been. So that ratio can actually go down and has been going down recently tbh. It's called financial repression. Until it gets noticed (asset bubbles) and they have to slow repression down and let the debt build up again. It's a balancing act Yellen and Powel do
@gdiwolverinemale4th
@gdiwolverinemale4th 10 күн бұрын
@@TmcksnT It is like solving a problem by drinking poison. Yes, they can print as much as they want. What happens when they create $36 trillion out of thin air to pay the bondholders? As you hopefully know the US GDP is $25 trillion. Both the internal and external markets would inflate the prices by 150%. Then the value of the US economy shrinks by the same percentage. Pay attention, international trade is done in US$ but in China they trade in Yuan. They don't follow the instructions from the FED. The US can play games with itself, but not with the world. btw China is buying gold like there is no tomorrow

Eisman sounds just like Bill Miller did in the scene from The Big Short. The entire sub-prime situation was based on the theory that home prices nationally have never declined. His theory is that just because others have been early there isn't an issue below the surface. Sub-prime wasn't an issue until Lehman's failure triggered the CDS contracts that AIG couldn't pay and the entire system went from OK to the brink of failure in a few days.

11:00 Well Mr. Eisman, with all due respect, who do you think is going to make those AI GPU Chips for phone companies? NVIDIA 😅 And sorry to disappoint you, but it is NOT just going to be apple. DOJ won't let thst happen. It is actually going to be every single cheap mobile phone company who will be having the access to these chips to be able to support the AI Apps on phones they are selling. Apple will always be a bit better and faster, but not the only one. What does it mean for apple? Tremendous Competition, like what happened with Payapl. What does it mean for apple's profitability? Same what it did for Paypal. You see, apple, is not a new technology company. It is a 40 years old company making 30 years old device: mobile phones, with newer versions of technology, and it has a lot of competition. Translation: Sell apple and don't buy it, as it has proven that it isn't growing income as fast

He is not wrong though that Bitcoin has been very correlated with the market so far. It's not a hedge it was supposed to be.

@@Fenris__ correlated to the highest performers. BTC is up almost 4x since dec 2022 while gold is only up 35% since the same bottom in dec 2022. Every year people say BTC is either too volatile or not a hedge against inflation. I don’t know what else to tell you besides look at the numbers. BTC is only .2% of the global market share and its outperformed almost all asset classes every year. Its still early… just look at the numbers and not people’s opinions.

AI chip isn't going to do the AI-inference/ computatation on the Phone itself or in the app either. The phone & the AI App is still going to use servers on the back-end to do the computations, which are done through the chips like NVIDIA'S $40,000 H100 chip (which by the way Elon Musk loves and said he will double the orders till the end of this year). Are phones going to have those 40k$ (or even $2000) chips on them? Is it a joke? Mr. Eisman should really learn a thing or two about technology and chips and how AI works... Warren Buffet is selling apple (11% of its stake), and Eisman is buying it 😂.. too early? It looks like it's already too late to buy apple! 😅

I think you should learn a thing or two... He's talking about edge AI compute which runs models trained on GPUs locally on your device (phone in this case).

Eisman doesn't understand the amount of computing power needed for AI. Sifting through TBs and/or PBs+ of data is not easy, nor quick. Phones will have to undergo a massive upgrade to compute and storage to not have any external dependencies. Unless current AI can contribute to generating this new device. I don't see it possible.

Yes he seems to misunderstand how these models work. He will certainly be using an app, but it will be communicating with a pre-trained model running at a data center.

@@IncoherentRamblingIdiot of course but the concept he laid out is singular (single node) with no outside dependencies. In addition, I didn't bring up performance related to generate a coherent response nor issues with heat.
