Steve Farris, hello, how are you?, let me tell you that I took a picture with you (1988) when you and the rest of the ROD STEWART`s musicians went to my workplace to buy chilean crafts. It was a great pleasure to have seen you since you had a resounding SUCCESS with Mr. Mister at the 1998 Viña Festival and in 1989 with ROD STEWART came to do the first mega concert in our country, I remind it was on March 7 and the next day 8 March you went to my workplace. It was great to welcome you and talk a little with you. Other artists who had been at the Viña Festival also visited us a few times. I hope all is well with you and we look forward to seeing you in CHILE again. You are the best guitarist in the world.

Great job Steve! This is Pamela, Sean baker and the picture you recognised in my home in Peoria while attending Bradley university, which I dropped out and moved to Dallas tx and worked with Kim Dawson at the apparel mart doing commercial tv as well as apparel mary as a showroom model for Shaheen out of Hawaii. I've been married to a Notre Dame alumni since 83. I've traveled the world and my children and husband do the same. UAE, PARIS, KOREA, LONDON,SCOTLAND. I still work in movie casting. Working with Hilary Swank among just a few to mention. And am a member of the 3rd order of Holy Mary. I've been keeping up with ur awesome career. Did you are MARRY UR GIRLFREIND? I haven't seen Sean baker for years and understand he is married now and find it hard to believe he's out of the music industry. My son John is a electrical engineer but plays for different bands including Fred Weaver. He can play as well as you can imagine, he could probably keep up with you and sean. Best of luck always. Do you still have a turtle chin like mine? If you have any solo guitar of just urself I would like to know if you could! If ever ur in New Orleans give me a call 225yrs 9361847. I hope you have stayed sweet with all the success in ur life!

Last time i would have seen this gentleman, would have been 1985...at the Yamaha Soundcheck Competition, that my band then, Northrup...had somehow 'gotten itself into'. ( it's a story; our then manage, Steve Clausman, City Kidd-Tesla) submitted a demo of us...and, we were selected out of like 1500 bands, statewide. we didn't 'win' that October '87 evening at the Santa Monica Civic, but...it was a pleasure to be part of all that;, and scads of LA Heavyweights, were in attendance. Mr. Farris here, from Mr. Mister...being one of them.) anyway...he stood and talked with us for a few minutes; don't recall saying anything to him, but... it was just cool to be standing there with my band-mates...post show....and he was giving us a minute of his time; and hopefully, telling us he dug our outfit. lol!...Fee Waybill, Michael McDonald, Quincy Jones, some MTV V-Jays...and many, many other Stars were in the Audience. I 'wore out'...Welcome to the Real World, when that Record was on the Airwaves...in '85 and beyond...and still adore that album. Mastelotto was a God, to me! was thrilled to be in the presence of greatness.( i was 27 that year)... lookin' good Steve. even without the crazy hairdoo anymore! ( and No...seriously doubting you'd recall that moment, or even 'Me! lol!) Cheers!

Killer "muscle" guitar player, a la Dick Wagner, Neil Geraldo, Steve Hunter.. Thanks for the bangin' solos for KISS, Steve. He's the one Eddie Van Halen heard playing on "Creatures of the Night," while during the sessions Paul Stanley was bellyaching about who to get to replace Ace. Eddie heard Steve Farris's ripping solo and said, "Why don't you get THAT guy?"

I love all my Valley Arts 5 & 4 string basses. I’m fact I still have all of them. Mike & Al were great guys. Rojilo and Jose were great luthiers too. I think Lee Sklar and Abe Laborial got there basses a few years after me. I would run into Luke and Larry Carlton there often.

Steve Farris had the look and the sound. Tangent Tears from Welcome to the Real World is one of my all-time favourite tracks. Great production on that album but Steve Farris’s guitar on that track is awesome. The harmonics he gets are brilliant. Great technique. Great guitarist. Should’ve had much more mainstream success. Lose the beard Steve and get the spiked hair back. ☘️
