@@bitsobaconbits4295 basically the amnesiac can steal a roll from a dead body. They get an arrow when someone dies that points to the dead body and when they find it they can click the “remember” button and steal the roll. If the body was an imposter, they become imposter. If the body was crew, they become crew. The mistake a lot of amnesiacs make is they’ll follow the arrow to the body and then click report instead of remember, and then they lose when crew wins because they’re a neutral roll (like glitch, they don’t win when crew wins) until they steal a roll.

So initially I thought that Steve thinking the Amnesiac would only remember a dead person's role, not steal it, was in some small way understandable. But then I remembered that they've been playing with these roles for a while now, the roles have been explained, others have stolen roles with Amnesiac, and I think the lobby even gives everyone an extremely detailed cheat sheet for all of the roles and modifiers. Still, I prefer things this way-a simple dumbass Steve fumbling his way through a kids game.

@@bugpseudo3848 Amnesiac steals a dead person's role. When in game, you can see an arrow point to a dead body anytime someone has killed (can help crew since you know basic location and timing of the kill). Then once you encounter the body, your 'Remember' button activates and you can click it to steal the role of the dead body. If you don't steal a role by end game, you lose even if crew wins. You can steal any role, even a baddie's role :)

What if there was like a guessing amnesiac? So instead of finding a body and taking the role, you can guess in meetings the role of a dead person and if you guess right you take that person's role but if you guess wrong you're stuck with staying crew? It's at times like this where I remember why I like social deduction games with role reveals upon death. Although it does give a lot of info which in some games is overpowered (and why it's not used in among us), can you imagine the effect it would have had this game if it had gone "Ellum was ejected. Ellum was a crewmate." followed by next meeting "Dumbdog was ejected. Dumbdog was the snitch". It would basically be like an immediate "you're all so fucking stupid"

Steve was still right though, Dumbdog should have reported. After stealing the role, he is now part of the crew and should have reported the body to try and solve it instead of running off like that. Rembering a role doesn't stop you from reporting, just stops you from reported instantly while you click the button

No. If an Amnesiac takes a Neutral Role off of a dead body, that dead will become a Survivor (a Neutral Benign Role). If another Amnesiac comes over to take the role, they will just become Survivor. So if the First Amnesiac took "Glitch" from a body, the Second Amnesiac will take Survivor, if they attempt to steal the role from the same body. The dead player will still be 'Survivor', even if it gets picked up by an Amnesiac.

unfortunately, no. i believe the setting is that they "trade" tasks as they switch roles, which is why amnesiac has tasks despite not actually being a crew role. (they might've changed this tho) so if Court had one task left and DD had finished all his tasks, after he remembers the snitch role, Court would be done with tasks and DD would have one left
