Such a polarizing subject. I languished in a tortuous marriage with an undiagnosed schizophrenic and substance abuser for 20 years because I was raised in the church to think that I had to stay there. "God is not the author of confusion." He didn't intend for you to be on the verge of suicide in bad situations just to follow a church rule. When He pulled me out, he knocked down walls, and he removed all obstacles to the point that I had no choice in the matter. He also sent me a new wife. The church manipulated the Bible throughout history to control populations and congregations. Many try to find legal loopholes as to why what Jesus and Paul Both taught do not apply to people today. @@leviq92 /couple things wrong with your statements...who are you listening to or following?...i can tell you do not read the scriptures of Almighty God nor believe in it or understand it...Ecclesiastes 7:20 NKJV "For not a just man on earth who does goodAnd does not sin"...that means there are no just man on the face of the earth...Jesus was the only one that was pure and sinless...Romans 3:23 NKJV "for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God"...that scripture stated "ALL" have sinned; that does not exclude pastors etc...and if you did read that scripture, you do not believe in it...some pick and choose...in a sense, you are blaspheming the Holy Spirit saying it is a lie what i wrote; much like the Pharisee and Sadducees saying that Jesus was lying about being God...remember with God, there is no partiality...some profess the name of Jesus BUT they do not possess Jesus...be very careful my brother...pray, repent, forgive and study His scriptures to prove yourself worthy for HIs Kingdom...time is short...

I am not taking God’s mercy for granted. My first marriage I was not in Christ. I was actually raised muslim. I got a divorce (frankly because I had no God and didn’t know Jesus). When I got my divorce it was life altering. I sought God for the first time and I realized who Jesus Christ was and how I had salvation, forgiveness, peace, joy and life in him. I begged for forgiveness once I realized I had sinned against God. I humbled myself before the thrown of God and cried my soul and heart out before him. It took years for forgiveness to come, years before I felt that burdensome sin lifted from me. I have remarried since it will be 2 years and I am in Christ. So are you trying to tell me once God has removed my sin as far as the east is from the west. Once he renewed my mind on marriage that I am in an adulterous marriage??? That goes against all that I have read in the bible about the removal of sin. Are y’all trying to say there are no second chances in marriage?? Now I understand if I got married a 3rd time then God forbid, yes I can see it as abusing grace. But to say there is only one chance and if you don’t know then you are just out of luck. That sounds more like being under the law of Moses and not the new covenant which is the law of faith. Because if I read me word correctly (I do not have itchy ears either) once Jesus died on the cross HE fulfilled the law of Moses. That is why HE said the first and great commandment is to love your God with all your heart, soul and mind. The second is like onto it.. to love your neighbor as yourself these two commands fulfill the requirement of the law. Just asking….

That is not correct!!! You have to understand the reason Jesus died, and rose again. All of us sin just about everyday and if we say we have no sin then the truth is not in us.(1 John 1:8). If we confess our sins to God, he is faithful and just to forgive us our SINS, and to cleanse us from ALL unrighteousness.(1 John 1:9) I do not know the relationship that Steve Harvey has with God, but if he believes in Jesus, and confesses his sins, then God will forgive him. We can not claim to know another man or woman's heart. The only thing we can do is teach people God's way and hope and pray that they come to the Lord. You nor anyone else can make that claim for God. Let God be God, because only he knows who is saved and unsaved. Stop debating sinners and start winning souls, because that's what God wants. The woman taken in adultery was treated fairly by Jesus. After her accusers left, because they knew they were sinners also, Jesus asked "Woman, where are those thine accusers? hath no man condemned thee?" She said "No man, Lord" to which Jesus replied, "Neither do I condemn thee: go, and sin no more" Jesus did not condemn an adulteress, but we want to condemn every sinner we know of, but we ourselves are sinners that are SAVED BY GRACE, through faith!!!

If you truly read what I said you would have seen that I said, "I don't know his relationship with God" Go look up what judging means. Everything that I post or answer to, I go to the Bible first. If you have a problem with it, talk to God because what I said came from the Bible. The only thing I care about is Steve Harvey giving his life to Jesus. When preachers preach or teach, I want to hear the TRUTH, not their opinions. We should not act like people who sin can not be saved from their sins. If you were delivered from yours, than God can deliver Steve from his. Again, Jesus showed compassion for the woman taken in adultery, he did not condemn her as all of you want Steve Harvey to be. I don't agree with the Hollywood lifestyle, but they to are humans who can be SAVED!!! God loves them even while they sin. Romans 5:8 But God commendeth his love toward us in that, WHILE WE WERE YET SINNERS, Christ died for us. You can even go to the next verse of that chapter.
