The love of money is the root of all evil. That means if you prioritize money over any and every thing else, then that is the foundation of all evil. Just like being in a capitalistic society where they put money over other people's lives and well being. No one would celebrate that, but because someone is a celebrity, they can encourage people to put making money over having and teaching their children integrity and people still applaud and support them, while wondering why we are still where we are as a people. @NGMonocrom4 жыл бұрын
@@ThePopMoss No, he did say that. But in a roundabout way. There was nothing in what he said having to do with Grace. One of her biggest issues is that they expected her to go out and actively promote the film, for free, for a handful of months. Now that's not just about money. Her big thing was how she was treated. That's just plain disrespectful. And on top of that, Oprah told her to go out and do it! Wow! I can see why that whole thing upset her. It's about how people treat you. And when they want you to go out and do something like that, without compensation for it, after you've fulfilled your contractual obligations.... They're telling you they think you're a piece of garbage. That's what she was upset about. Steve basically told her on air to suck it up and do what they want.
@ThePopMoss4 жыл бұрын
@@NGMonocrom Everything Steve said to her was helpful. Actors aren't paid to promote. You promote to create hype and as a result of that you get paid. Integrity in art is everything you do so your expression can be felt and heard through your work, and that includes accepting that compromise and delayed satisfaction/recognition/compensation is part of the deal. Mo'Nique is a talented actor who stunted her own expression because she refuses to see that she was wrong.
@NGMonocrom4 жыл бұрын
@@ThePopMoss She wasn't wrong. It's one thing to go on Talk Shows. Late night, and morning ones to promote a film you're in (without financial compensation). But that wasn't the case here. No so if we spending government money that was created by white folks and under white folks rules and on their tv.. you think they gonna listen to us how they should run things?/ NO. Anything related to the white man and his business they are not going to change anything for us this is why they give us opportunities to run our own business and do what we want as long as were not attacking the white system they created for us all. Believe me when I say this that the government is scared of their own people because if wwe do not have any laws and rules to go by we'd be at each others throats and it would just not run smooth. If people cannot follow rules given to us and stay in our own lane how you think we'd act if there were no rules?

it doesn't matter if you watch if white folks watch. And kelly is an underdog but not celebrity material no more than Parish Hilton or KK is. Just goes to show that anyone can make it in today's world. See the way the world works is, if you can make money it will help you make money. Everyone in the world is serving money that do not know how to serve God. Steve serves the devil who is behind money. And God heard him say his sucess was based upon the law of atraction. Don't he know it invoves magnetic (fields) not people. Money is bringing him down to Mo's level. But he is 2 things, 1) not funny as a one man show comedian, and 2) he will save his own butt! The Entertainment business has patterned after money. Its just that no one is schoolin' anyone from the top of the business bc it takes takes the business to get them together with a little cash, and you know see what happens. But you just have to know where to go, who to ask for and what to say. But steve is a fraud. here he is could not even make an announcncement correctly for a major event less more write a book, but he thought that he could fake it. he does not know bit more about how to sexually and totally satisfy a woman to save his life. That bad advice had to stop. Heis a minute man just like the rest. Bruce Lee was the same way, in a different way. Look what happened to him and his son.

@@rockybrown5659 I get what you're saying however, Steve along with several Blacks in the industry ie Will Smith, Denzel Washington, Samuel Jackson, Oprah, and more don't mess with Black ppl in or out of the business. We x one another out instead of trying to help them come up. Steve ran from TV executive to executive bad-mouthing Bernie Mac, trying to ruin his image and name for a TV show. Someone told Bernie what Steve said then Bernie confronted him. From what I heard, Steve tried to deny it but The Mac Man wasn't buying it and laid in Steve's ass. Steve hung his head low. Cedric the entertainer and DL Hughley know the truth, yet and still they mess with Steve and will continue to do so and say respectable things about him on TV. But behind the scenes, they talk bad about Steve to their wives. Cedric doesn't really mess with Steve like he used to. Steve may be behind Cedric losing the biggest comic deal that he had on the table. It was to follow his variety show that mysteriously got cancelled. Then Essie Berry, a KZbinr that Steve put a stop to her reality TV show then lied on her claiming that she tried to extort money out of. When asked for the proof of how she tried to extort money, Steve could not show the proof but the changed his story. You see phone records, emails and text messages all of this stuff can be traced. Steve didn't think before he lied on her. All Essie asked for was an apology which Steve refused to do. His karma against his ex-wife Mary, Bernie, Monique, Essie and Lord knows whom else he wronged is striking him. This is just my theory to. Steve and Marjorie ask Barack Obama to pardon one of marjorie's ex's fro prison. Upon his release, this cat was hanging out with Marjorie and Steve. Since he was a drug king pin, those TV execs we're not having that! Yes the opened the flood gates to give Steve creative control but it back fired on Steve. Pay attention to Tyler Perry who is being controlled by the cats at Lions Gate. He can't make a move without them. it was interesting when he told the story of how they caught him into the office and told him he needed to do a Boo 2. Tyler had no intention on doing a part two but was TOLD to so he hammered it out in three weeks I think he said, thus pushing back another film project. Though Tyler is grateful for lionsgate giving him the platform he cannot shake them. I remember when Tyler Perry got a DVD distribution deal lionsgate purchased the distribution company telling Tyler that he will never shake them nor make a deal that doesn't include them in it.

Wasn’t Monique attacking black men too?! Monique wasn’t defending her race. She threw black men and Chris Rock under the bus. So it wasn’t a “black” thing with her just as it wasn’t a “woman” thing. It was painted as a black woman thing, perhaps only a Monique thing since other black women came forward and said they are doing just fine.
@maryhaggins93595 жыл бұрын
Its white mans anger and Black mans money!! IT was shady and outright wrong!! Monique needs to just chill. Monique is pulling everybody in her mess. Monique did burn her bridges. Steve did what Bill Cosby did and tried to own himself and his show, Bill wanted to buy NBC and they put him in jail for it on some old bogus BS from back in the day, endgame being he couldn't buy this show. Monique might be talking ,but the situation is the same. A Statement is one thing but falling off is something else. Save your money and live your life and let the white man do what he wants to do! Take the money and Run!!! God will cover you

As a white person, I am only now becoming more aware of the struggles to the African American community. I was always aware they were chastised and treated differently, but I didn’t understand how integrated it is into American culture. I hope that moving forward the African American community can have the representation they deserve and need in pop culture as well as politics, etc.. I want everyone to feel accepted and equal because I don’t want a society in which people don’t feel they can be who they are because they will lose their livelihood.
