Christians dont do the right thing just to "please God". A person does whats right because they can relate to their human counterparts. "I wouldnt want to be screwed out, why would I screw this guy out", or, "Id want this if I were in his/her position, so Ill do it for you, because I understand". It makes a person feel even better to know theyre paying back something that was afforded to them by their greatest and loving Benefactor. Its no different than "making ya mama proud". Like putting yourself in harms way to accomplish something most humans would turn away from. Doing stuff that goes beyond "just being a nice guy". Because theres alot of things, during times of war, or famine, or other great terrible things, that any human being with senses would feel great distress under. You guys twist things to make Christians sound so terrible. This world is so antiChristian nowadays, its sad. History is rich with countless Christian causes always reaching out to help countless communities, and you guys nitpick to locate every negative event or detail and focus on that, making it the primary focus. I understand identifying flaws and focusing on them to eliminate them, but you guys arent looking at it like that. I think Ethan is the first person I've heard say this, but yes. Thinking that belief in God and listening to the bible makes you a morally good person, is utterly insulting. To both parties. Insulting to religious people because it is basically saying they are mindless people with evil urges that would be happening if not for God. And for non-Christian people for basically being told they are incapable of being good because they don't believe in God. Well let me slam something down here. Christians are good people and get a reward at the end of this road we call life, eternal happiness in heaven(I got reason to believe heaven would be boring as fuck with no challenge in your life, ever, but that's just me) but then non-Christian people are just good because they want to be. There is no reward besides the satisfaction of being a good person, no reward at the end of life, just death. Because people will remember us for the good deeds we did, and the great person we were, for no reason other than because we wanted to. And fuck you Steve Harvey for even considering saying you have a good moral barometer when you've cheated on your three wives and gotten divorced all three times.

I don't believe in God at all but I think that our morals come from cultural norms that changed over time, they aren't morals, just expected behaviours. Oh wait that’s just a book showing an imaginary world that the author created. In reality, people believe in religions because they want to believe that someone is helping them, making sure they stay safe, and are successful. Which is completely fine, but now religion in general just creates problems. Churches stealing money from people corrupt priests and violence because of conflicting religion. Believe in what you want to keep yourself sane but don’t flip out because someone doesn’t believe in the same thing as you.
