Nine years old are supposed to be in 3rd grade or forth. 5 to 6 is kindergarten 6 to 7 first grade 7 to 8 second grade 8 to 9 third grade 9 to 10 forth grade 10 to 11 fifth grade 11 to 12 sixth grade 12 to 13 seventh grade 13 to 14 eighth grade 14 to 15 ninth grade 15 to 16 tenth grade 16 to 17 eleventh grade and 17 to 18 12th grade. So I don't know why Steve acted like 9 was to young for third grade
