I personally stopped playing the game recently. Airship gave us like a few extra days ajd then we stopped again. Because it's just the same thing over and over and over. There's too little variety in the gameplay loop.

yeah... but why does CS Go have viewers for years on end when it too is the same game of 10 players essentially, or Dota 2 etc... I know it'll never be the same, but I can see some evergreen appeal of this game as a "just chatting" style game that's sort of like doing tasks Role Play. I mean I understand games like Codenames, Pictionary getting old... but I think there is just enough complexity in Among Us in mods that it could be played for years ... maybe at a lesser frequency, but you know what I mean. just treat it as a bunch of people going fishing, or hanging out etc.

@@AmongUsAcademy imo Among Us has been slowly dying for awhile now in terms of content - the mods and new maps have been a way to stem the bleeding, but it's just temporary. I think in a way the main appeal of among us was when people were less good in the game - I remember being so excited to learn the lights meta, voting meta, etc - but now people like Hafu, 5up or Toast who have played for so long have basically developed algorithms in their minds for how to absorb and digest new content. It's been a fun genre for awhile, but it's gotta fade from the main scene for a bit. I do hope it returns though, when the world is ready for it again though - this was a really fun year of deception games. I think it'll definitely thrive as an occasional party game, just maybe not in the main sphere of gaming. EDIT: I realized I made this point poorly so just breaking it down better - Among Us is a party game at the end of the day, and that means it lacks certain complexities. The mods can reinvent or give it a new flavour, but at the end of the day, the core is the same. So the reason why I feel it's dying it because I can feel the streamers becoming too used to that basic core of Among Us - once you've mastered the fundamentals, you can easily apply it to everything else, where other games such as shooters are more difficult to master (i.e. shooting, strategy, grinding), giving more replay value. Do I prefer those games to Among Us? Not really, but that's why I feel it has less replay value. As for why games like CS:GO and Valorant are popular, I think opposed to among us which is consumed both by people who play and don't play the games, you have to actively play those games to find it interesting. I play League and I love watching content about it because it helps me improve, but I think someone who wouldn't play would find it quite tedious and boring. It's just a different type of viewing experience. Plus, I think games like that are just inherently more fun to play than to watch - the big streamers gotta relax every once in awhile, even if it doesn't rake in the most viewers xD I'll admit valorant isn't as fun as among us to watch, but I'm just along for the ride. As Janet would say, when you're happy, I'm happy!

I love this mod. There are so many roles that not only can everyone have a role depending on what they put the percentages at, but there's no guarantees with anything: - someone being revived/ claiming to have been revived (by TimeLord or Altruist) and calling a meeting could have been a glitch killed by an imposter or sheriff and vice versa, or they could be an Executioner lying to get their target out - a body exploding could be a lover dying when their lover is killed, someone getting a great kill, a swooper getting a kill or a shifter trying to shift onto an imposter - someone disguised as another player or getting a kill could be a morphing, a glitch or someone pretending they were somewhere else - there could be two imposters in the final 4/5, or a glitch could have killed one (or both), a sheriff could have killed one (or both) and gotten killed, an arsonist could still be alive (depending on the setting) or an imposter could have killed their imposter partner by killing that person's lover - with an assassin in the game, people could be lying about their roles or purposely hiding them as crew to prevent them winning Etc
