Thanks Steve and Sue, it'a great that you covered the difficult Mars Pluto aspects, I have the square, it is a tough one, as anger can be an issue, I think because some of us are abuse survivors. Sometimes the rage can be turned inwards and become depression, we often have experienced some truly terrifyingly situations and have faced death in some way. It's only now that I'm in my late 50s that I appreciate how strong I am, I'm still here despite everything!

Oh wow thank you so much for this discussion! My brother has a Pluto/Mars/ Uranus stellium in Virgo opposing Saturn and Chiron in Pisces ( his 1st house) We haven’t spoken for years but this describes a lot about his projections and fears. We are both Aries Suns, 6 years apart and I never understood why he was always so intensely competitive with me to the point of estrangement. Although I don’t have mars conjunct Pluto (my Mars in Capricorn and Pluto last degrees of Virgo) I am the one who joined the military, a crew chief on Blackhawk helicopters actually ( I’m an Aquarius rising) which I now see challenged my brother’s masculinity since he was the one afraid of everything. I have lived with, through and out the other side of a natal Mars Pluto opposition, in the Pisces Virgo axis, with a Scorpio Moon and Neptune ... I've always considered that Mars operates in Service to Pluto. Much of what you said here, is in line with how this has played out. Transiting Pluto is opposing my natal Mars and conjuncting my natal Saturn. I’ve undergone two surgeries and had 3 serious panic attacks, had to support a friend through a violent rape, encountered some ruthless and dark people and experienced a kind of impotent rage under this transit and I still have 6 months to go. But at the same time I’ve met my fiancée and I’m healing from CPTSD. Transformation big time. Mars is the ruler of my 12th so I’ve had some mental health issues and it’s in my 4th - I was forced out of the place I was renting by a greedy owner who used horrible and illegal tactics to get the tenants out. Suffice it to say it has been intense but ultimately healing.

I have transiting Pluto conjunct my natal Mars. Mars rules my 10th house, where my Sun and Mercury are. The good news - I got married. The bad news - I work in a neighborhood in NYC that has been on the downturn and I worry for my safety (as well as the safety of my coworkers!). I notice too I’ve been attracting a lot of anger from men (at this point, people I know, not strangers) but it is scary nonetheless. But truthfully, I’ve been disgusted by the ugliness I see in men recently, specifically people who are authority figures.

With USA election coming during these times and having seen the current historical events prior, ...freaking out! I come from a conservative family but am decidedly Democratic. Very insightful, thank you! I have Sun conjunct Pluto in Virgo squaring Mars in Sagittarius. Add to that, Pallas Athena is exactly within minutes conjunct my Mars, both on my Midheaven. I have a very strong survival instinct and have channelled the energy in my Yoga practise for many years. My go to poses being the Warriors. Not a surprise!
