Verse 1] I swear there's something in the wind outside today And it ain't cool Got me thinking 'bout how things decay And about you [Chorus] But I'll be fine, I have to set delay Before I try to fall in love, not pain Yes, I'll be fine, I just can't rush Not again, not again, no, not again [Spoken interlude] Fuck, why is falling in love so hard? I think I'm just moving too quickly Based on the patterns I've been studying on myself Of the most scientific research and I think That I should just take things a little slower You know, I've learned a lot in experience You know, I'm grateful to be in this place right now, ayy [Verse 2] I swear there's something 'bout a loss there is to gain Perhaps a lesson If you do it once, don't do it again Unless it's destined, oh [Chorus] But you'll be fine, you have to set delay Before you try to fall in love, not pain Yes, you'll be fine, you just can't rush Not again, not again, no, not again

this song feels so euphoric to me. feels like a bittersweet end. an ending that you caused, an ending you’ve finally came to terms with, just the feeling as you process everything. like staring out the window as you leave something you knew so well behind, not wanting to leave but knowing you have to.

YASIR AMAAR Joyce speaking facts, theres so many similarities between the two artists, with this song and Chamber of Reflection you can sort of identify the sound of beat used is very similar to eachother! Steve Lacy is so underrated and should be a lot more known in the music industry.

Ok so took me a few listens but those wanting the chords it goes C-F-Dm-G-Am-F#maj7b5-G-E And then now I’m realizing that doesn’t include the chorus... but I swear every single one of the online chord things just disregarded the F#maj7b5, or at least that’s what I think it is... Am chord shape with a C on the A string and then an F# on the E string... sounds about right
