I first heard this song in a department store recently. Sure, it has been released for a while, but we can't explore everything that there is in music. When I looked up Steve Lacey, it brought to mind how it felt back in the 60's when Charley Pride was producing Country Western songs and no one knew he was African American. I have listened to the rest of the album this song is on, and my recommendation is that he stick to the format of this song for future numbers. If Steve Lacey has that kind of "thumpity-thump-thum" in his album, they will be more than one hit wonders (like the 80s were). Sweet jam! Appreciated.....
