Thx for posting this, I used to be here every weekend, I still get shivers thinking about these days (I was here mostly 99-01). It is such a shame that people today will never experience this vibe and these kind of people anywhere in NYC. There are so few of us left still involved in the scene, but it is so nice when I run into someone who "was there", usually I'm easily recognized by old school liquid moves ;). I remember being there for Junior Vasquez, Steve Lawler all the time, and occasionally even great guest DJ's like Paul Van Dyk. I feel so bad for ppl today hanging out in VIP with "bottles and models"

phasetek Thank you for your comment, as you said today, people will never experience such an atmosphere as these days. I live in a small town Osijek in Croatia and the period of 2000-2003 years were the best years of my life. In Osijek, in that period played Corvin Dalek, Darren Christian, Alex Anderson, Angel Alanis, Umek, Kanzyani, Deetron, DJ Bone, Jester Jones, Gaetano Parisio, Ladida, Rino Cerrone, Funk D'Void, Gayle San, Jel Ford, Oxia, Marco Bailey. Today is a big nothing. It is sad but true 8(

I have a very nice smile on my face and the same story of Factory for a few years when JP and Junior were in a battle for who owned Saturday night in Manhattan for the Super Club after hours. I am not going to get into a debate on my love that Jonathan always continued to be able to make sure that I am going to be back in time for the next week and I will be thinking about it all week long

Remember Tenaglia and Cox back to Back at Twilo prob 2000 or 2001. Danny finished up around 5:30pm Monday. Lol. About a 13 Hour set. Carl was amazing too. Them going back and forth dropping techno bombs was fun. One trying to out do the other. Two legends. Vinyl from 98-2004 with Be Yourself Friday’s with DT. My best club day memories

I dont think this is from Twilo. I was at that night and I remember pretty distinctly him playing A Lovely Day at the very end of the night. Last song before encore. Then the encore had Creamer and K track and then Raven Maize - The Real Life. You can even hear the radio bumper in this. Bummer though.

I was at one of the final Lawler nights there which I believe was right when it closed. Quite possibly after that same weekend. Amazing vibe never to be duplicated.

One of my favs of Steve!! Thanx again Shala!! I have a set of his -Live @ ORGASMATRON- (07-02-2002). It's only 1 hour, but it's really good imo. Toward the end of recording he really starts heating up with some dirty sounds and then it cuts off. Would you happen to have the Entire Set? Thanxx for all work you have done by uploading these massive classics!!

I used to go to Twilo at the end of the year 97 & early 98.I agree it was the best Club in N.Y.C.with the most unbeatable music. At the begining it was an opened place for the nicest, most beautiful and cosmopolitan people in town.I remember one night seeing an Arabic prince dancing happily with his typical suit.Twilo was the best proof N.Y.C. was the very Capital of the World, since you could see people there, from all around the globe .But I quit the Club, when a friend of mine and me went to the place and the security at the door did not allow us to get inside,as we had done so many times before with not problem at all.We are decent and well dressed people,so I was in shock. But that night I saw something really weird, that I´ll never forget.Everybody was stepping inside was dressing black except us.When I relized about that fact, that scared me.I never went back there, but years later I learned the club was under a severe and stressing financial situation, caused by the ownership nvolving in drugs, and some legal fights at the court.I don´t know when it did finaly closed, but I do remember the fabulous music they used to play,as less, during the nights I spent there.

+vaskosmopolita1 They were "accused" of being involved with drugs, yet it was never proven and I highly doubt that the club itself was selling drugs. They were in legal trouble with the liquor board, on several occasions having their license revoked. It was just a way for the mayor and the local community board (who hated twilo and any night club for that matter) to get the club to close. They subsequently did it with several other major clubs in the area. The administration was ok with clubs which were known to have celebrities as patrons, but clubs which catered to diverse crowd were closed down.
