Finally, the original broadcast version without the laugh track added in reruns. Even the version Shout Factory put on DVD has the needless canned audience. Thank you for posting this!

Oh, my God! I can't believe they would botch something that badly! That's almost as bad as the company that issued "Fresno" on VHS with its rerun-borne laff track -- all FIVE HOURS of it!!!

I bet the laugh tracks made it sound so cheesy.

I was laughing so hard, I wouldn't have heard the laugh track anyway.

Thank you for posting. I'd recorded this on a super old VHS. But this was in the 70's, not 80's.
@billarthur9 жыл бұрын
+spinadude I took this off my old Beta player. It was the first thing I recorded with it. The correct date is 1980.

I’ve never seen this before. It had potential to be funny, and was for a while. However, I think it went on a little bit too long and lost its interest value.

When you have a comedy bit that was played one time and people are still riffing on 40 years later... Then you can tell us what Steve Martin might have done better.
@BillSmith-rx9rm4 ай бұрын
@@hpgdovin The comedy is for the audience. And who was the audience? Well, I am one of the audience. And I have my own thoughts thank you very much. You can just stick to your own please.

Me too! I'm 42 and I saw this in the late 80's/early 90's and I distinctly recall being in a Shakey's pizza parlor back when television theatre screens had 3 ginormous red, green, and blue lights at the base.

Please everyone, come to Jesus Christ. If you follow God and do his will and put your faith in Jesus Christ, you can be saved and have everlasting life with God in Heaven. God is good and loving and although we sin and have problems in life, if we come to him, he can give us new life and if we follow him, new eternal life. There are a lot of hardships and evil in the world, But if we come to God and repent and are baptized and do his will,he can protect us and save us and give us more than we could ever ask for. He is good and to those who truly seek him, he can be found and he can give us better than we would have ever had otherwise. May God bless you and keep you and lead you in the truth!🙂
