Steve made some bold choices. Great comedian and more deep than most people realize. The talent here is incredible. His albums were a lot of fun to listen to over and over again.

It's a great interview, Mark is fantastic at these one on ones. I wish we could have found out a bit more about Dirty Rotten Scoundrels but it's still a terrific interrogation of Steve Martin, thanks for sharing.

The very first film my parents took us to see at the cinema was The Three Amigos. The film was so funny and it stays with me to this day. I really feel as though the 1980's was truly the last decade where comedians were a generation of greats who had truly mastered their craft over years of paying their dues. Richard Pryor, Gene Wilder, Eddie Murphey, Steve Martin, Chevy Chase, Martin Short were all comedians my family and I admired. Richard Pryor always held a special place in our household and he really was known for influencing a whole generation of comics.

I think hes just a very privet person like alot of proformers. and likes only looking faward like amny proformers do. I dont think proformers of any kind look back so much, what seems to turn them on the most is moving farward.

I watched this years ago and it was great. Watching it again, man is Steve Martin uncomfortable after about half-way. His films after Roxanne were pretty dreadful and he seems to know this. He should have retired rather than making L.A.Story, Father of the Bride and all that other pure shit.
