when matthew was being grilled on why didnt he just leave walford matthew should of mentioned that he did try and leave and that steve even caught up with him on a bus when matthew was going to stay with his parents and Matt begged him to let him go and Steve threatened him.... I dont get why he didnt mention that

Kinda have to suspend disbelief a bit in this part, Matthew manipulating Steve lol,, you only have to look at Roses posture and demeanour to know he wasn't capable of doing that to an older bloke, esp one has cunning as Steve.
