I have ridden there three times from Omaha. A great museum! Very sad it has to close. If this were a baseball or some other ball and stick sport museum people would be falling all over each other to get in and support it. I hope the auction goes well for the owners and they are rewarded nicely. All the best to them.

It's a shame the museum is closing. I love vintage bikes, choppers, customs and anything cool, so hopefully these machines will go to people that will continue to display them publicly rather than hide 'em in a private collection. Thanks for preserving history!

All the years I spent trucking across America, never knew this place existed, shame the young generation is missing out on how simple things were, an how the safety of the ride has changed.

So cool, I went to Dale's Wheels Through Time last year in Maggie Valley and it was great to see the variety of bikes there. I had a KZ900 like the one in the video. That bike would really run. I fortunately survived a no-look driver making a left turn in front of me. Snapped my femur, through me over the trunk but I lived to ride again, thanks to the full coverage helmet I had on. It obliterated it and I would have surely had a head injury without it.

Auctioned off like the rest of America. Way too high for us regular folks to ever dream. Old Harleys are very popular in Japan of all places. They sell you "reliable" and "cheap" only to buy up all your history. I hope the new generation is proud.

Wouldn’t i love to own that Jesse James Camel Roadhouse El Diablo chopper. That bike changed my life and the way I felt about motorcycles. I really hope it goes to a great home or back to the original owner. I wish I could afford to own a bike like that one. I have built a chopper but it’s not that nice. But it makes me happy to ride anyway.

Thankfully, I got my 7 year old granddaughter there before it closed. The six times times I said:"I rode one just like this in...." was cool. Of course, the "I sold this one for $50" and "this one got buried in a field" stories didn't come out. The "I rode an modified Triumph up the hill climb in ..." was a cool story. Maybe not so much emphasis on:"I made it 3/4 (optimistic estimate) up the hill" but forgot the "flipped it on my head" part. My grandpa rode a 1942 like this one, and a great uncle traded a 1918 Harley like this one for a couple of plow horses added more family context.

It seems as the world is changing for the worse.....all the great thing's like this wonderful museum are coming to a sad end. The sign of the times? Sadly, I think so. I'm writing from sunny Northern California. Come on out to Yosemite National Park and Calavaras Big Trees. The riding is awesome out here....for now, until it dies too.

Looks like it was Heaven on Earth! At least we have this video to remember it by. Kind of a shame someone felt the need to 'restore' Roaddog, though. Don't think it was ever meant to be that polished and painted up.
