I honestly almost started crying watching that Steve Nash documentary. I still think he's the best even though he left my Suns for the Lakers. No respect lost.

In the highlights maybe, but if you look at his career he generally uses his left hand. He will switch to his right hand if he needs the angle or due to rhythm.

As a really unathletic person this really helps to find ways to score without jumping out the roof. Nash had great fundamentals footwork and all dude was just not blessed with athleticism or build. But players like him maximize what they have a creat a unique playing style that works for them.

I love Nash he has been one of my favorite players even as his days in Phoenix. I'm s die hard Lakers fan so him joining was great and I still think it was a good decision he adds experience and can give knowledge to young players. He's a leader and his basketball I.q is insane

I agree, I'd like to see Nash take more shots in clutch moments; he's delivered so far. The opposing team always expects Kobe to take the last shot so it would give Nash an opening.

Damn.... This team was a Dream Team... They could have won it all but the coaching was horrible, Nash was injured forever, Kobe got hurt, then all the guards were gone during the playoffs. Teammate Chemistry between Howard and Kobe wasn't good either... Man, if at least the chemistry was decent and they had a better coach, that team would've went far...

honestly nash still has game. he can still beat some guys off the dribble, he's beating younger guys like lillard and irving here. and he's practically automatic when given space. he won't play a whole 82, and his defense isn't getting better, but he can still ball.

I honestly believe this Lakers team with Nash and Dwight paved the way for teams to start looking at player compatibility with head coaches. They hired Mike Brown with his resume of handling Lebron in which Odom would've been a perfect player for his system but since they traded him, that role fell to Kobe instead. He got fired for not losing all of pre season and 1-4 into the season with Dwight due to the Princeton Offense. Since they got Nash, they thought getting D' Antoni would help them out due to pick n roll with Dwight and Pau but Kobe was then out of the system which made him frustrated and forced him to take over the offense. The incompatibility of this team with each other really killed them along with the media scrutiny and worst of all, injuries.

You took a 39 year old, injury prone Point Guard, who needs the ball in his hands to succeed, play off-ball in two different systems and wondered why he didn't put up the same numbers he did in Phoenix. I love Lakers fans.

2 MVP's, countless all-star appearances, 3 trips to the conference finals, probably a championship in 07' if refs didn't screw them over makes him a career failure? I usually do not intervene in the user's comments, but what you just said, is just plain idiotic.

Feel Nash was unappreciated he had a 50/40/90 shooting average (well 49.7 close enough), and averaged 6.7 dimes more than any Laker since Nick Van Exel in '98. He unfortunately was injured early on but hopefully next year he can stay healthy and average around 12 pts 8 ast while playing around 28 minutes.

God. This guys is just not the same at he was with the suns. It sucks that he left us. He's working on recovery and thinking about retiring. But watch this guy make the biggest comeback in his career and get a ring. Remember when everyone thought him and Kobe would make the greatest duo of all time? How's that working out for you laker fans??

When Nash was in control of the offense it was not horrible at all. They were still scoring 100+ in those games write around new years with Nash in charge of the offense. The problem was that they were allowing 110-120 points on the other end of the floor, and that was becuase their team defense as a whole was awful, as the entire team had horrible rotations

The problem is, Kobe needs the ball. That's how he plays to his strength; he takes control. Nash needs the ball as well, to set up the court. Both take control of the game, Kobe mainly by is insane ability to score, and Nash by his unparalleled court vision and playmaking. In my opinion, that's why the chemistry is not quite there yet. They need to balance Kobe's dominance with Nash's vision. If they do that, it'll be deadly.

No. Nash is 40, been through it all. Injuries, bad teams, a 2 time MVP, 8x All Star, still apart of the 50 40 90 club and still putting in work, one of the greatest point guards ever. Durant's only 24, he's accomplished a lot for his age. Scoring titles, Gold Medalist, ROY, impressive but no lol Nash deserves it much more than Durant.
