As a Man Utd fan I was hoping Ten Hag stays as he is the most attacking manager we had since SAF left. Some terrible refereeing cost us CL KO and 4th spot in the league this season. I have no idea how Rashford got a straight red card for trying to put his foot on the floor.😢 How Liverpool got a penalty for a dive in the PL game for 2nd goal. How Liverpool 2nd goal in the FA Cup game stood after Fernandes was cleaned out. Walker cleaned out Rashford who was one on one with the keeper away to Man City when 0-1 but instead a professional foul leads to the Man City equaliser in like 15 seconds. Even when we lost 4-0 to Palace they score a foul goal to make it 4-0 I believe while same game they give a foul for a goal we score which was a 50/50 ball. It was like the refs had it in for us. Even the home loss to Palace a clear handball penalty not given. Arsenal away clear penalty on Hojlund not given, clear red card for Saka not given. Tottenham away Romero saves a shot like a goalkeeper and no penalty given. Tottenham at OT Udogie takes down Garnacho and no penalty. Honestly the Burnley game we had 2 clear pens not given and 2 other debatable pens not given and then we concede a penalty after the ball was already cleared but the next day Man City keeper does worse and gets a freekick.

ESPN is known for being a United hater, but this another level of bitterness. If there all the candidates who have been talked about aren’t good enough, then maybe Ten Hag isn’t as bad as these so called experts are telling us. It’s obvious to me that Manchester United’s standards have dropped so badly and even their own fans are happy with where this team is at right now. I understand that given the season that they had winning the FA Cup was a silver lining for them and they think that the team can now go forward especially since Erik ten Hag is staying at the club and many of the fans backed him and there’s an importance to win trophies, finishing 8th and then gassing ourselves up over an energy cup is actually funny to me as that one game against Manchester City seems to have made people forget about majority of the season where they were bad and absolutely outplayed by some of the mid table teams in the premier league. If they finished 15th in the Premier League and won a domestic cup, their fans would still want their manager to stay and would say it’s because we had so many injuries and can only perform when we have everyone available. Having 60+ injuries that was a headache for them, other teams that’ve had so many injuries and have to go through a period without 2-3 key players in certain positions have a consistent style of play and that’s the complete opposite of Manchester United where if they lose against a 20th place team, it’s because of injuries. They’re not a big club and it’s great that they kept their manager only because these guys didn’t know what they wanted to do with him as they wanted to sack him since they felt like no manager on the market was a better option than him as they were on the verge of sacking him regardless of their FA Cup win, they had no choice to keep him this sort of mentality is part of why they’re still a long way off the top and as a Manchester United fan you need to see continuity and progress not “winning energy cups, acting like finishing 8th place is a successful season and changing the narrative after one good game, saying that we need to trust the process as that’s what we’ve been saying for 10 years that this is a project, we finished 3rd place and won a trophy we’re gonna challenge for the league next season”, they have to show progress going forward now that ten Hag will be there next season.
