Steve Ovett-1500m European Championship 1978

Just found this on the hard drive!Not sure why I never uploaded it before and I'm sure it's already on the Tube somewhere,but here it is anyway! Ovett at his imperious best,a few days after surprisingly having been beaten in the 800m and a week or two before breaking the 2 Mile WR ....

Magnificent performance by the great Steve Ovett. I love the way David Coleman called home all the other runners after the winner which sadly many of today’s commentators don’t do so much. Just a minor gripe! 😊

Coe, elliot, Cram, were fantastic . But Steve Ovett was the greatest. When he went into overdrive it was pure athletic perfection.
