Can anyone count the magnitude of goodness Steve Roach has done for this world? I am staggered, I am humbled.

This song touches something so deep, wonderful, and mysterious, that I can only listen in awe.

While I really like most of the music of Steve Roach, I believe that this piece is particularly inspired and on another level entirely (along with a few other pieces such as Altus and Dream Body). It actually has a rather wide dynamic range for this type of music, almost orchestral in a way, with a gorgeous ebb and flow to it. There's a sense of space, a sense of freedom that simply cannot be found in any other music. It's like you're standing at the edge of the world, looking at dramatic vistas, endless skies and into space and infinity. A very, very liberating piece of music. Too bad the audio in this video is slightly distorted. It deserves to be heard in better sound quality.

My spirit was lifted into the Cosmos.... This is a feeling, a Transcendence ..An existence or experience beyond the normal or physical level.... This is the experience.

This is a sound beyond any imposition of good or evil

It's like physics and the light spectrum but in this case metaphysics, good and evil are merely two opposites of mind frequency. This music sees both as part of a complete spectrum of possibilities of mind.

When "spirit" is translated into sound; you get Steve Roach. Far more than just ambient music. Simply the sound of the spirit we cannot put into words.

Ah, well said. The essence of Spirit can not be known, or comprehend by the human mind.

Only God and Steve Roach can make this kind of music.
@juliapigworthy6 жыл бұрын
If God existed then I think God's way of making this kind of music would be to create everything in the universe leading up to the culmination of Steve Roach eventually making this kind of music.
@mwngw5 жыл бұрын
@@juliapigworthy ...Steve Roach conceived his music based on a real, Near Death Experience. He said later he wanted to duplicate the heavenly music he'd heard. His music exists because God exists.

Imagine the heat-death of the universe, when pebbles like this are being pulled apart from each other faster than light. And after trillions and trillions of years, even they will disintegrate. Then -- nothing. Until another Big Bang. Brrrrrrr ...

Don't think so unles he added it from a compilation LP called "The Ambient Exapnse" which had tracks by several others, including Vidna Obama. That came out several years before New Life Dreaming.

Nice use of this Steve Roach track. What is it we are seeing here? Is this a model of a particular known asteroid or moon or some kind of planetoid?
@teovinazza8827 жыл бұрын
It could be an asteroid named Vesta that circles the Sun between Mars and Ceres (it is the second biggest asteroid in asteroid belt).

Hum... I agree that this music is great and the video effective. But it may be important to have the correct name, so we can find the music in other places. Sometimes youtube music videos disappear.
@tintala7 жыл бұрын
well as a musician one needs the true title so that it can be networked, so theres that.
