I just finished reading the book Through Gates Of Splendor. Great story of faith and forgiveness. I was really touched by it.

Dear Steve, I understand u concerning d excrutiating pain that u have. There was a moment in my life , where I had excrutiating pain like yours. It was what U called pinched nerves, i would get up in d morning n put on my socks like an old man. It went on 4 a yr. one day after 1 yr, i said to d Lord: Lord if this pain is yours 4 me to accept , then i accept it , but help me, n from that moment in time, there was no more pain. 3 yrs passed n 1 day as I was reading d scriptures, I came across a verse fr. d beginning of a psalm 30 v 2 that said: " Lord, my God, I called to U 4 help, n You healed me. "He has to B my Lord n my God, which I acknowledged in my prayer.

When I read this Part of Matthew, It was you who came to mind. “Whoever acknowledges me before others, I will also acknowledge before my Father in heaven. 33 But whoever disowns me before others, I will disown before my Father in heaven. 34 “Do not suppose that I have come to bring peace to the earth. I did not come to bring peace, but a sword. 35 For I have come to turn “‘a man against his father, a daughter against her mother, a daughter-in-law against her mother-in-law- 36 a man’s enemies will be the members of his own household.’[c] 37 “Anyone who loves their father or mother more than me is not worthy of me; anyone who loves their son or daughter more than me is not worthy of me. 38 Whoever does not take up their cross and follow me is not worthy of me. 39 Whoever finds their life will lose it, and whoever loses their life for my sake will find it.
