There seem to be alot of cobs falling off the end of the head. Looks like they need some sort of end plate

That's what happens with Geringhoff heads.... stalk rolls that intermesh and a fast header speed causes this. You can slow down the feeder house but that only does so much. This is the reason we traded for a Case chopping head.

Hi I’ve seen you also have a 2388 video , I’m looking at a 6130 with about 1500 hours on it and a 2388 with slightly more hours , but it is much cheaper, can you give me any pros and cons , which one would you go for. Cheers

How fast are you guys going with the 8 row? We have a 12 row corn and 35 foot bean head on ours. We can go 4 with the corn and about the same with the 35 footer. We also run a 6130.

There must be a lot of goosenecked corn in your area, but I'm sure the auto row-sense is nice to have. Have you heard any yield results?

Fold your auger in. There is a lot of reasons to do that......but hey , your paying the repair bills

Also here in Illinois, alot of our roads are to narrow for a bigger combine. Some of the bigger farms around still use 8 row heads on s680 and 8120's so they can travel without detaching the head.
