This is where I have an issue. Stop holding things against him for doing what the coach required him to do.
@M_Ladd
@M_Ladd Жыл бұрын
Did you ever think that the coach required him to do these things because the coach also knew his limitations in doing the other things necessary to be a complete receiver?
@shanehall8447
@shanehall8447 Жыл бұрын
@@M_Ladd the coaches job is to win the games. Hyatt specific skill set with the speed that he has allows him to do certain things on a team, that no one else can do as well as him. No one else on that team is as fast as he is so, it wasn’t beneficial for the coach to have Hyatt run the entire route tree, but to put him in a position where he can win BEST Hyatt skill sets stress the defense in a way nobody else on my team can and the coaches job is to WIN games. So he sets up his offense and his players in a way that allows him to do that best.
@M_Ladd
@M_Ladd Жыл бұрын
@shanehall8447 Their again College is night and day vs the Pros. It wasn't beneficial because he could not do it for one reason or another. Every year, you see speed receivers drafted early. Still waiting for Marquise Brown, Calvin Austin, etc etc, to finish relevant. They are situational gadget players, and drafting them will give you nothing but a headache in fantasy. They will go off the week you don't play them, and then do nothing when you do play them. Best to avoid them altogether. If you are smart! Some have to learn the hard way.
@shanehall8447
@shanehall8447 Жыл бұрын
@@M_Ladd again you’re making an assumption that he could not do something I believe that assumption is wrong. He had a skill set that was superior to others in terms of speed so he used him in a way that accentuate his skill set the best to win games college coaches are not there to develop players for the pros. They are there to win games.
@M_Ladd
@M_Ladd Жыл бұрын
@shanehall8447 Yes, it is an assumption. Until you see a player do something that is what you do, assume that he cannot do it. Whether it is running catching, etc. Pro coaches are not there to teach. They are too busy with what they already have on their plate with no time to do so. It is another thing that is left up to the player to take account of. Most players learn from other players. Some, their learning curve is too great and will fall by the wayside. Time will tell. Andre Johnson has been schooling Nico all spring and summer, something that should have been done by assistant coaches in college. That is why they supposedly have them. Now, whether a player can be schooled is another thing altogether. I want players who help me to win my F league, and that won't be a situational gadget player because that is all they will ever be. Good day.

If the Giants can create some extra time in the pocket for Jones, then Hyatt will be awesome. I think their bread and butter will be the running game, lots of throws to Waller and then play action.
@paulmysliborski4832
@paulmysliborski4832 Жыл бұрын
Fortunately, the NFL game rules still have 11 players on the field for each side. It's funny to me how Steve or the other guys didn't mention the addition of Waller, Campbell, and the great pick (IMO) of Schmitz at center. Hyatt will be a speed decoy as a rookie until defenses start getting body-punched up the middle with crosses, hooks, and slants. And when they start bringing the coverage up to deal with that....... Look out. I see Hyatt as a rotational player in the opening weeks, with the occasional big catch. His growth after that depends on his ability to adapt to the NFL in a real manner. I think he has the perfect coaching staff for doing just that.

Look, I don’t know what the hell the big deal is with is drafting this wide receiver. At the end of the day, you want your wide receiver to a point guard in pads. That being said! Hyatts speed is there. His weight is there to because you need your wide receiver to be speedy as hell. Especially for the Giants who have drafted too many slow receivers in its time. Speed on both sides of the ball.

Oh please! Smith hates the giants and has publicly said so numerous times. There is no way he’s ever going to be be complimentary towards any Giant. He hated Eli, Gettleman ( ok, maybe he was right about that one), Saquon and said OBJ was overrated, and so on. So of course before even clicking on this video I knew he was going to e trashing Hyatt. Steve now that your in the media and an ‘expert’ it’s time to put the old feelings away and e objective in your analysis.
