Jerry was Highly recruited coming out of Highschool. He chose Mississippi Valley because they threw the ball 80 percent of the time. In the Southwest Conference teams ran the ball about 80 percent him being a receiver he needed to get the ball more.

Jerry rice was a 1st round pick out of Mississippi valley state and I believe had close to 1000 yards his rookie year, I’d say that’s a pretty good athlete.
