He talks about his passion for all things artistic and what inspired him to go at things a bit differently. MAN!!! Total and complete awesomeness! I was a 12 or 13 year old kid, when that letter to Pat Ganahl came out in print, and the following article he did on mild customs in '78. I've been a fan ever since! He said here he can't draw people, but this kid fell HARD for the cute little Latina that was sitting on the fender of the '57 Plymouth he drew for that article! Honestly, few people in this deal have set the car world on it's ear quite like Steve has over the years, and I think you captured this in an amazing way... Thanks as always!

I remember back in the 1990s seeing Steve's work in some of the trade magazines. Of course I was blown away. I still have kept those old magazines that have featured Steve. His designs still look good in today's world. Glad to see him. As far as how people perceive you,,, many years a go I was lettering a truck at a customer's house. His little daughter asked me if I was an artist. I said "No, I'm a sign painter" And then she said, "Oh, that's all".
