Steve you were right on about my youth. We learned how to repair our bikes toys and more. I remember finishing my dads beers, that little sip in the bottom. What great memories.

My dad had a few whisky & 7UPs every night after he came from work and had dinner.. The second he'd walk away for a minute to pee, I'd be sneaking a sip.. Now that Im way grown up and getting old, I have about 5-6 drinks a year..

Every generation says something about the new generation. Many comics do it. The funny part to me is they are the ones parenting the current kids. The irony is hilarious. I like Steve tho, he's funny and his stories are relatable.

But wow I related a lot to what he was talking about as a kid, I literally did all of that(except buy beer for parents) but that honestly brought back like this childhood feeling back. My dad would take me everywhere in the 70's & 80's. Even to bars😂 There would always be some lady to watch over me while he hungout. Was no going home when I got tired. The bartender would give me free cherry cokes. Good times. It was a different world then and stuff like that was no big deal.

OOOOH MY GAAAAAWD EVERY SINGLE THING He said about his childhood and his parents is SOOOO FRICKIN TRUE !! Everything from having to read aloud in class (OH how I HATED that) To being at gatherings with your family down to the Nutty Buddies👏👏👏👏 Uuuuuh of only things were simple like they were back when we could ride our bikes to our friends house that lived in another neighborhood and our parents didn't have to worry about somebody kidnapping or killing us. Shit I was afraid when my kids were playing in OUR OWN YARD! Not to mention with all the technology now a days kids don't know what it really means to ""go outside and play and be home before the street lights come on"" 😁 That's the way we grew up back then with our parents and if we did something wrong all it took was a L👀k from our parents and we knew, OOOH SHIT🤐 That's the one of the problems today is parents quote unquote baby and shelter their kids from ""Real Life"" that when they do get out in the ""Real World"" they don't know wtf to do🤦 I remember going to the corner store with a note saying what kind of cigarettes to get and a lb of Isleys chipped ham and a loaf of bread. If I came home with the wrong cigarettes my ass was back on my bike pedaling back up this HUGE hill. Going home was easy, I had the bag of food and cigarettes in one arm and the other arm steering and my ass was FLYING down the hill and praying nobody stepped out from their house in front of me🚴‍♀️🚴‍♀️ Him talking about it all even down to when he was talking about his chain popped off his bike and had to flip the bike over to put it back on😆 I was going down memory lane LMAO 😂😆🤣

Took my 10 year old nephew on a bike ride around my old neighbourhood and his chain came off he honestly had no idea what to do and i was honestly shocked lol. Putting your chain back on was like life skills for 5 year olds when i was a kid 🤣 that's when I really knew the days of playing out on bike with your friends were dead, god forbid one of them gets a picture haha

This was my lifestyle in the UK as a kid including his bike story - I had two peddles but I filled the tyres with sand cos my dad wouldn't buy me inner tubes!! My parents didn't have a clue where I was after school or on the weekends. Kids' health and safety didn't exist. I would do runs to shops and use some leftover cash to buy one chocolate eclair. I was also a slow reader and could barely understand what I was reading simply because I couldn't remember what I'd read 20 seconds before. I'm still not a fast reader but much better now. Even with this handicap, I managed to go to university.
