I was really bummed when Jeff Beck passed away. I had seen him 15 times in my lifetime. I was very depressed & it was hard for me to even be interested in watching/listening to music. Heard about Matteo Mancuso & watched some video of him. It was so refreshing & reawakened my love of guitar music. Hoping to see him sometime this year. He has even made me ask myself "I wonder if Jeff Beck ever heard him ?" I would think he would really like his playing.

In my opinion it is like a solar panel, he is storing energy, everything he feels, studies it and then proposes it in his own way. Now, a musician just like and with whom could he make a record? He is far ahead, but we still have to wait, he should have other great collaborators like him, but then globally with who would produce it ... In my opinion we are on very high levels, but he is still young ...

I'd like someone to try and confirm this, I had read he was quoted as saying he was considering a medical education to become a doctor. This isn't a joke, and I hope it's not true, but of course, he should choose what he does with his life. But does anyone have knowledge about this, or might have seen the quote I saw? I've tried to find it but I've watched so many videos and have read several interviews so have no idea where I ran across it. Certainly the guitar community would feel a huge loss from what both Vai and DiMeola are seeing in him, along with all of us "normal" people!...
@blueplanet87502 жыл бұрын
Matteo heals more people with his virtuosity on Guitar, than he could do as a Medic, who is fixed in one location, seeing one patient at a time. (I have not heard that story though - he invested too much in music training to switch - but then, he is still young enough to apply his genius in another direction.)

You need strong motivations to keep the langage of your parents...., and even a bigger one if it was that of your grandparents! ;)

Сам Стив в свое время в Перекрестке проиграл дуэль именно такому гитаристу, хоть это и фильм, но намек на то, что потенциал у пальцев правой руки не раскрыт до конца очевиден. @t.t.29779 ай бұрын
While he's certainly skilled, his training in guitar is evident in his improvisational abilities. However, he lacks a distinct personal style. This contrasts with Tim Henson, who possesses a unique style but struggles with improvisation. In my opinion, a truly exceptional musician can craft both iconic riffs and songs while also excelling at improvisation. While he's talented, he's ultimately overrated. Guthrie Govan is a superior example of this ideal.
