I was a student and good friends with Bob Carter, Student Government President at Mount Saint Mary’s, who was key in arranging the Mount for the filming of Midnight Dynamite. That day of filming the video was so much fun. Bob and several of his friends, including me, got to hang with band members in the Ratt and watch all the filming in what we called the hanger. My wife and I are in shots of the crowd for that video, and it is one of my favorite memories from my college years. I was from Emmitsburg - Frederick County, and Bob and I had a long conversations about Kix when we were discussing bringing entertainment to the Mount during the 1986-87 academic year. I was a fan of Kix since I first heard The Itch on local radio. I am so happy that Bob and the SGA (including me) pushed to have Kix come to the Mount. It was an unbelievable experience to see Kix make the Midnight Dynamite video. Thanks for all those memories Steve, Brian, Jimmy, Ronnie, and Donnie.

The first time I got to see Kix (sadly, not in the hey day), was when they came back to Ohio after a 25 year absence. I'd heard the stories, but that still doesn't prepare you for how good this band really is. The next time I saw them was on the Fuse30 tour playing all of Blow My Fuse cover to cover. Steve wasn't prepared for how well the tracks that they never played live before went down with the audience. I'd love to go see them again. If you don't have a huge smile on your face after leaving a Kix gig, you need to seriously question what makes you happy. Top notch show from start to finish. Steve needs to be mentioned among the top frontmen in rock. He's that good.

I saw most of their shows back in the 80's, including Shooze and Generators. Few bands could ever approach their live shows, due largely to Steve who was the best front man I've ever seen. Good songs here. I hope the album is successful and that Kix will be rocking the live stage for years to come. Peace Ronnie, we're thinking about you.

Kix has always been a phenomenal band to me. I love all their albums , especially Blow My Fuse and Midnite Dynamite. Midnite Dynamite should have been their breakout album. In my opinion it is a MASTERPIECE!! I have always loved the song Walkin' Away. I will be seeing Kix in a few weeks, and I really wish that Walkin' Away would be on the set list. Great interview!!

Really enjoyed this interview. Have been a fan of Kix throughout their career, but as crazy as it sounds, saw them for the first time just a couple of weeks ago. Whiteman is a fantastic front man, has a great stage presence about him; helps that he is not overweight, in good shape, not like so many of our rock heroes from days gone by. Liking what I'm hearing on "You're Welcome."

Awesome interview. Back in the day, Kix was untouchable. Sad they never quite broke it as big as they deserved. On a separate note, there's an uncanny resemblance between Cinderella's _If You Don't Like It_ and Kix's _Sex_ . Has this ever been acknowledged by Tom Keifer?

Thanks Jason another great interview. Been a "Kid Kid" forever, the S/T & Cool Kids really floored me back in the day and I was hooked and still am. Yet to see them live, but have been fortunate enough to have a friend in Maryland who ran in that scene get the band to sign some stuff I had (Blow My Fuse promo stuff from back in the day that even surprised Steve that I had it and a handful of other bits and bobbles (The Blue Vultures cd)... Sorry for the prattle, keep up the solid work.

Not that my opinion really matters much to anyone, but being a KIX fan for years I don't really like anything off of Steve's new album. I wish he would have created something a little more metal or hard rock. I mean he's got serious vocal pipes. But if people are into it that's cool. I'm not saying that he should have wrote music that would have sounded like KIX, but I would have liked a little harder edge
