Nice job, Dave. How this wound up in my feed ... checking all NVIS videos I guess. Yours truly, your brother-in-law KG7LYL

That was fun! Thanks! 💜👍 2 random notes: (a) Canadian military trick for finding 10m length when you don’t have any tape-measures; it’s 10 rifle-lengths, because the standard-issue rifles are exactly 1m long. 😂 if that doesn’t apply, maybe some other pice of kit you own is a convenient exact length. in America, you probably have something handy that is 1-foot even, or 18”, right? more dependable than measuring with body parts. (b) I happened to notice a local “Dollar Store” has cheap/light garden-wire type stuff, 100ft / 30.5m 😅 I can just buy 2, and *poof* half-wave 60m dipole? for about $5. - I like to keep a roll of that wire in the car anyhow … but because it’s handy, not as a spare antenna.

Since putting a ground reflector under a horizontal dipole helps, I wonder if it would be practical to make a _Moxon antenna_ and point it straight up? *_73 de AF6AS_*
