What great memories i have of listening to Steve Wright in the afternoon, started my first job in 1985 and discovered his show, every day i couldn't wait for his show to come on, me and my workmates would be in hysterics listening to him, brilliant, even had my songs played on Goldn Oldies, still got my badge, which will be treasured...R.I.P. Steve, you'll never know how much your missed...

I remember hearing "Don't touch it" when I was at work and I cried with laughter and have always remembered it - It was the "was in the back of the telly and the wires were live" that made me crease as I'm an electronics engineer and was in the lab at the time. Brilliant stuff, I've been listening to as much of ole Steve Wright in the afternoon that I can find on youtube, popping it all on a long playlist & driving along to it. So inventive, the silly jingles, nutty charachters, silly noise played over records, mis pronoucing words on purpose, the posse, Mr Angry, Sid the manager & Damien the social worker. Even as he slowed down hi Radio 2 shows were still always something to look forward to on a long drive in the afternoon. Now it's all done, RIP Steve Wright, you were brill! (That's wright!)

Who remembers Pervie? And Arnie (Arnold Schwarzenegger "F**k you a**hoaal")? Those characters were hysterical! Steve Wright was the best! I studied in England from 1988 to 1991. Steve Wright helped me through those difficult days. Looking back though, the late eighties were the best years of my life. There was another late night lady DJ at that time with the sexiest voice that had a call in program. I can't remember her name. I remember listening to her show every night while I studied. If anybody out there knows who I'm talking about let me know.
