Steve Wynn agrees to $10 million fine, end to any ties with Nevada gaming industry

Steve Wynn has agreed to pay a $10 million fine to settle a Nevada Gaming Control Board complaint.
The settlement effectively ends Wynn's involvement in the Nevada gaming industry, declaring he is "unsuitable" for any job connected to the business he helped to build until sexual misconduct allegations emerged in 2018 for incidents that spanned the six previous years.

The kidnappers, were apprehended . Absolutely! That's why I believe men need to wear body cameras on them whenever they deal with women on any level. In this day and age with all of this, believe all women and 50 year old accusations that cant be proven, all of the crazies are coming out of the woodwork accusing men everywhere. I don't understand why he is being considered unfit to have a gaming license even if he is guilty of sexual misconduct (allegations so far). Fine him and have him pay a $10 million lawsuit to the plaintiffs. Maybe even jail time. But why can't he still run casinos? Everyone knows he's an expert at it. Steve Wynn is a complex person. There's probably little doubt that he is an incredibly intelligent man who has developed some remarkable hotel and casino projects in many parts of the world, especially in Las Vegas. Unfortunately, as he amassed more and more power, it began to shape his behavior, as it does with many people who become powerful. Let me give you an example. Many years ago, the International Hotel, perhaps with the new name of the Las Vegas Hilton, decided to terminate a lot of their older dealers. The dealers went together, retained an attorney, and filed a suit based on age discrimination. Lo and behold, it looked like they might win their case as a judge refused to throw it out. What did Steve Wynn do? He flew to Carson City, Nevada's capital, met with the leaders of the legislature which happened to be in session, and the governor. Within just a couple of days, the legislature had passed a bill that was signed into law by the governor stating that casino workers were "at will employees" and could be terminated at any time without giving a reason. It difficult for a man with that much power to not expect his female employees to submit to his sexual demands. Some years ago, when the Wall Street Journal ran the stories of his sexual attacks on his employees, it was revealed that he's paid a manicurist a $6 million settlement after she'd filed a complaint with Human Resources. At that time a Wynn spokeswoman said that he'd paid the settlement to avoid negative publicity. Most everyone found that difficult to believe. There were dozens of other allegations. A couple of days ago, I happened to come across some interviews with Wynn and John Ralston in which Wynn was talking like a Harvard finance professor. He's brilliant. About that, there's little doubt. Does he have flaws? Yes, he does, and we need to accept that he has those flaws and not protest when those are pointed out.

A fine or it's amount isn't determined by media speculation regarding only accusations that are themselves speculative A fine by the control board is tied to the story of civil lawsuits that never involved a criminal charge. After which the media suggests that it was a payoff without being specific It can't be a payoff, with only accusations of harassment that would position victims rights into a solicitation of prostitution . Exactly, when I worked security at the Wynn he had to be walked by someone by holding his arm (kind of how you do when you offer your arm to walk a lady across the street) and it was even worse in the dark. So for him to even attempt this there would of have to been someone there with him. Also he himself is a really nice person. His wife (off topic) is also a real sweetheart, one day it was absolutely POURING rain all day and real heavy too, and she ended up helping every single guest get to their car in her rollys royce, not giving a single care in the world other than making sure those people made it to their car.
