Most of these tracks were not even from the 90s. Pauls "target audience" at the Gelredome event is the mainstream crowd with a superficial 90s nostalgia, not the real underground music lovers.

@@kixxalot a Lot of 90ties tracks are put in todays Mainstream Sound and we older guys Who are a Part of hardcore since 1992 hear it and sometimes it makes us sad to see the change.

There are many misunderstandings about the whole ravething. Gabberculture as we know it (Nikes, Australian suits,shaved heads) is from the Netherlands but the original roots, sounds, breakbeats, rapsamples, especially Happy Hardcore is from England. Do you even know Dreamscape, Hysteria, Uprising, Helter Skelter Tapepacks? Djs like Swan E,Vinylgroover, Sy, Vibes, Hixxy, Billy Bunter, Slipmatt etc.? These guys are the true lords of Happy Hardcore and not Paul Elstak or Charly Lownoise & Mental Theo with there cheese rave bullshit.Gabber as a genre or streetculture is from Holland. Gabber is hebrew and means friend/buddy. The scene around Berlin used the word Gabba instead of Gabber. Hardcore as a Raveculture has its roots in the UK. My first (Happy) Hardcore Tape is from 1987/88. I know the history of Hardcore because I was part of this culture. By the way I think that Marc Acardipane from Frankfurt was the first known guy that started to produce what you call Gabber. There was also a huge (Happy) 2B HardcoreScene in Melbourne while Dutchies started with their Hardcoremarketing. By the way MCulture is part of Hardcore and it is a gift to take the crowd on a tour by rappin stories, jokes and other things with the right voice. Mc The Watcher and other fools from Holland are a waste of time and destroy everything about the Mc`s job. DONT TELL FAIRYTALES and try all the UPRISING, Dreamscape, Helter Skelter, Slammin Vinyl etc. mixtapes from the 90`s. Go4it Raver!;)

Marc Trauner made the first Hardcore track (Mescalium United - We have arrived) but that's not Gabber. The original Happy Hardcore is invented in the UK but that's not gabber either. Mc;s doesn't made Gabber, they have just asupporting role . Gabber is a very old pure Dutch word what not only means friend, buddy or pal but also means a monk in Dutch and the word is not adopted from the German or Englisch language and the speak-out is very diffrent from Gabba or whatever. The original Gabber music is invented in Rotterdam the Netherlands..We first call it Gabber and then outside the Netherlands they call it Gabba. Hardcore, Happy Hardcore and Gabber are different music styles from each other but they have also the same influences..
