People started to sign more young artist like your Mario's, Chris Brown, B5, B2k, Soulja Boy etc. JD business model and Bow Wow change the music business. Soulja Boy is almost a legend he changed then entire blueprint of how the music business makes money, being the first artist to make 100% of their profit off a song through social media.

They don’t have the amount of hits, longevity, respect, and impact like the artist I just mentioned. To even be considered a legend you gotta have at least have 10+ year run putting out hits consistently and influencing a new wave of artist.Bow wow and Soulja boy was just a trend. I give a little more credit to Soulja though, I believe he is more influential than bow wow, he really was one of the pioneers of the internet music wave. But he definitely not a legend. That word get thrown around to easily.

This came on my feed and I had to tell a story that Steve shared when he had his radio show in LA. after this episode aired. The story went that the entire cast of this episode got together for something (think it was prayer). Bow wow went to Ron Isley “Hey, I got a Gold record” Did you ever had a Gold record?” At this time J.D. was kind of nudging Bow Wow saying “Do you know who you talking to?” Ron Isley looked at Bow Wow and calmly said “Unfortunately, I never had a gold record… But I have 22 platinum records.” I damn near almost got into a car crash after hearing that funny story.
