“Hey, time to get Kinki!” - that’s what she said
@calden742 жыл бұрын
You should have gotten the Nagra Classic INT as it combines both the Nagra Preamp and Nagra Amp. Additionally to the Nagra Classic INT, I also own the discontinued Nagra Tube DAC, the Nagra Classic PSU, Nagra CD (the rare Nagra CD Player) and a Nagra IV Reel To Reel recorder. I was lucky enough to receive this beauty from my father and grandfather, in which I will continue this tradition with my son. My speakers are a pair of Paradigm Persona 3F (Aria Metallic Blue) which I picked up refurbished for $4600. I also have a pair of JBL Synthesis L100 Classic (Orange) that I will switch out, especially during the holidays, from time to time as the sound takes me back to my childhood. I can't agree with you more, the Nagra Preamp and Amp, or in my case, the INT will be with someone for life. That being said, I also just so happen to own a pair of Bang & Olufsen A9 Bluetooth Speakers that sound absolutely divine. The insane part is that the A9's have a built in DAC, as well as a Preamp and Amp. Now, even though they sound amazing, the Nagra system still sounds better, but I keep wondering for how long. This Bluetooth technology is getting better, not just that but it's alao more convenient. Just some silly thoughts, I will always have my Nagra system.

Nagra Tube DAC is not discontinued. HD DAC is discontinued. You have a wonderful system. I think you can up the game with different speakers.

I can feel the bass from my Craig 6 inch paper woofers. I also have Home Depot #6 stranded cables. Found them in a trash pile a few miles from a remodeling job. My next door neighbor welded the wires straight to the speakers. He said that way there is no loss. Now I can play my collection of Grease movie musical record. My other neighbor also recommended I get a blue scotch pad and clean my Sharp cassette player recording heads. He said it will dampen the high frequencies. It sounds fantastic!

It's a pretty simple looking internal design, it must be their in-house production and Quality checks that take the time as long to build each one. Bargain really.

@@Fluterra HD ..out of my butget. Beside of Nagra, I can't wait to listen the enleum Amp 23R once HK dealer in stock on Sept. My speakers are a pair of Stenheim 2 bookshelf 93db, just wondering if the enleum could drive them well.
@mrsinghsstereos66622 жыл бұрын
@@jayfung2618 I had the stenheim 2s . They are quite lightweight- I was using a ch precision i1 as the amp . I ended replacing the stenheim 2 for the Stenheim 3s and also bought the ch precision a1.5 power amp . I had the Nagra hd dac with separate power supply but it was faulty and so I impatiently returned it which I still regret . Currently I use a bartok 2.0 with Rossini clock . But I am considering buying the Nagra classic pre later this year .

The Kinki will be a paperweight within 5 years when a component breaks and no one replies from the company in China. Nagra will repair and support everything they make for decades, as they have for the past 50+ years.

Is it ok to stack preamp on top of amp, preventing heat dissipation?
@NagraAudioChannel2 жыл бұрын
At least it would need the spikes (that fit in the holes on the top plate of the CLASSIC AMP) to get the CLASSIC PREAMP a little bit higher
@Michael-xz1nk2 жыл бұрын
Thanks for your reply. A little bit higher via spikes would certainly help. I would rather put the preamp on the bottom of the stack or put the two units side by side, pending sufficient room.
