Cool video, friend! So you want to say that the lut effect is not too noticeable? And is it possible to make a clean output screen on the monitor without the volume level, like on the camera screen?
@stevelittonАй бұрын
No sorry, it just wasn't a great demonstration for colour. I should have pre-loaded a more noticeable LUT. Essentially it was just showing how to monitor the LUT preview over HDMI. The monitor I am using here is not a recorder, just a monitor but on a HDMI recorder you can set it to get a clean video output without the overlays.

@@stevelitton Do you think that baked lut will have more color than pre-baked lat?
@stevelittonАй бұрын
Its only using LUT preview, so the actual file will still be a flat Log file. If you use RealTime LUT then it will be baked in to the file. I don't have that feature as I am using the GH6 but personally I prefer the flexibility of doing it in post.

What cable did you use to connect your phone? Is the camera output USB? Does the camera understand the phone as an external monitor or are you logged into the app on your smartphone?
@stevelittonАй бұрын
I have never connected to a phone using a cable as I just use the WiFi/Bluetooth but my understanding is that it can be done. I know using the Lumix Tether app you can go out over USB-C but that app is only available for Mac and PC.

@@stevelitton I thought your external monitor was your smartphone. 😂 Where did you buy your monitor and how much did it cost?

Ah, I thought you were referring to that previous comment 😂 It's just a FeelWorld F6 Plus. It is a very budget monitor but it does the job, you can get them for under £100 on AliExpress through the FeelWorld Official Store 👉 s.click.aliexpress.com/e/_DkgNGEV It has been updated now to a V2 version which I believe has a better display that the original version I have.
