I had a car accident in February 2009 where i suffered horrific facial injuries. Whilst recovering at home, I came across this recording, and it really gave me hope... A few months later on my birthday, I bumped into Mr Isserlis at the Renaissance cafe in Sydney, Australia. Little did I know that he was giving an all Schumann recital at the Angels Place Recital Hall ... he played this very piece as an encore... I was totally mesmerized by his playing.. what a musician he is.. thank god for Mr Isserlis

This was the most heartfelt performance of this piece.Technically, musically, stylistically, emotionally, dynamically, etc. all perfectly balanced. BRAVO!!!!!

I love it! What a great phrasing and use of "piano" - all the shades - and "pianissimo", is just bringing all the complete picture of silent woodlands...great approach to performance of this beautiful piece...everyone plays it too loudly...only Lynn Harrell uses this phrasing and dynamic the same way...love it...

Wonderful! But, c'mon, 92Y, did you need to add an intro that is twice as loud as the piece? Ruins the mood.

What really ruins the mood is the hand clapping once the music has stopped!
