They're smart. They shot it first, and then planned how he would survive after they had heard all the possible theories from universities and ordinary people along with an initial idea from themselves. I love this cast infinitely!

Episode written by Mark Gatiss, Blame Moffat. *Claps*

Cleverly done! Any clear-cut explanation would have led to disappointment. The one that Sherlock gave is plausible enough to be accepted, but Anderson's doubt reinserted a little enigma into the equation. So now you're left thinking "he could have done it like that... but did he?" All part of the necessary mystique of Sherlock Holmes.

The whole Sherlock fandom is Anderson right now. Moffat and gatiss told you how he did it knowing you would question it. Just as Sherlock told Anderson, knowing he would never stop questioning

Think unlike doctor who. Sherlock should really keep you guessing if it is the real answer or is it just hiding the real answer. Wonder if there is another way he survived.

Brilliant episode. While I do accept the story that Sherlock told Anderson as fact as I can't think of a more plausible one, I have to say I'd love to know what those other plans Sherlock and Mycroft came up with were (before Moriarty shot himself). I really enjoyed the cameo by the girl from My Mad Fat Diary. Nice little critique of those annoying fangirls who keep wanting Sherlock to have a gay relationship.
@Ches19.11 жыл бұрын
Oh get off your homophobic high horse, what's wrong with wanting a male character in a relationship with another male character? Does people shipping Sherlock with Molly bother you as much this obviously does?
@KevinCarney9111 жыл бұрын
Cheshire348 I'm not a homophobe, in fact I have friends who are gay and I don't condone bigotry of any kind. What I'm saying is that the fangirls want Sherlock to be gay so badly that they've gone to pretty extreme lengths to show it. I've never had a problem seeing two characters of the same gender be in a relationship, but when people keep insisting on characters being gay when they aren't, it's very annoying and stupid. For instance, quite a lot of them sent Amanda Abbington death threats when they found out she was playing Mary Morstan, because it "killed any chances of Sherlock and John getting together". Mark Gatiss, who is himself gay, finds the whole thing incredibly irritating, as do Benedict Cumberbatch and Martin Freeman. In a recent interview they were asked to read a piece of fanfiction depicting an explicit encounter between their characters, and the whole thing was very awkward for both of them. Who the hell knows if Sherlock and Molly will ever have a romantic relationship, but to answer your question I find shipping in general to be a waste of time and energy. For me it's not about who ends up with who, but how the story and characters develop.

Cheshire348 Just because someone doesn't ship something like Sheriarty or Johnlock doesn't automatically label them as "homophobic" -_-"
@megitufa502011 жыл бұрын
***** Maybe if they hadn't played so much on the homoerotic side of their relationship people wouldn't be shipping them so hard right now. You can't throw the stone and then hide your hand. Fun thing is this third series only enforced the possible romantic relationship they could share, so please take your ship-shaming elsewhere, thank you.
@KevinCarney9111 жыл бұрын
Maggie Jacklocked Did we watch the same show? In what way did they enforce Sherlock having a gay relationship in season 3? He had a very convincing relationship with Janine so he could get into Magnussen's office, hinted that he has feelings for Molly and showed that he still thinks about Irene Adler. He's never shown any romantic or sexual interest in a male character. Hell, John is married now and has a kid on the way! The homoerotic stuff is just for laughs, nothing more. These days if people see two men spending so much time together, they automatically assume that they are a couple, something that didn't happen when Doyle wrote the original stories. That's what the show is about: taking the Sherlock Holmes mythos and adapting it to a modern setting. Finally, to address your last point: human beings have the right to free speech and are perfectly at liberty to express their thoughts and feelings. Therefore if I want to declare my distaste for shipping, I bloody well can and there's not a thing anyone can do to stop me.

***** That is what Sherlock said. However at the end of season 2, when sherlock's "body" lands on the ground it does so behind a truck. When Sherlock explains to Anderson how he supposedly did it, they didnt show a truck when he lands. So it wasnt the correct explanation of what happened.
@KevinCarney9111 жыл бұрын
bctopper Yes it does. If you watch the scene where Sherlock explains his survival, it shows the truck driving off shortly after "Sherlock" hits the pavement, just as it did in The Reichenbach Fall.

I love the fact that there was a tease for two ship on the show. Sherlolly and Sheriaty. The Sheriaty was hilarious. The Sherlolly was sweet (but I don't think it will happen; sorry :/). I also really liked the Mycroft/Sherlock scenes. This was the first time they really felt like brothers to me.

What bugs me the most is the sounds. I mean, the first one is just not possible with the window breaking with such a wrong angle and little force, and although I loved the second one (Andrew Scott, yum!) it's straight from all the fanfic. The third one was realistic (I think, need so see the scenery from the original fall first) BUT landing on a "balloon" like that would make a terrible sound, one that it would be hard for John to miss, even in his shocked state. Still want to know how he did it, ha.
@TonyArrison11 жыл бұрын
And the sound of a smashing window. Another thing I didn't understand was why the use of the corpse? Why was it necessary for Sherlock to move around with the inflatable? It wasn't, was it? Mind you I watched it hungover so I could easily have missed the reason

We have to remember though, we don't know which one is true or if any of them are true. Maybe they did have a snog. *fangirls from the thought of it* And he even asked her to solve crimes with him (and seemed pretty nervous about asking her). Just think, when he asked John, he was just like "Come with me John, and we shall solve crimes together!" but with Molly he was like "I uh, was wondering if you would um like to... solve crimes with me*. He even asked her out for fish and chips after and gave her a kiss on the cheek (And he hadn't even been a dick to her)! I really believe that it will become canon. We still have 2 episodes left (Oh god, WE NEED MORE)! xxx -OH

Also! Remember the look on Sherlock's face when Molly's fiance walked in to 221b? I think there is something up with him. Last time they introduced us to Molly's boyfriend, he was a criminal mastermind. So, either this guy has something up his sleeve, or Sherlock is jealous. Or maybe (and hopefully) it's both! :D xxx -OH
