I think that's why I like them so much too. I was never into 'hunting shows' or the sort before. Now I watch the shows, listen to podcasts, buy stuff off the website and have even read one of their books. Some of my favorite moments from the TV show was Steve talking about his dying father just wanting to go for a long drive or them making an old Leopold biscuit and gravy recipe out in the woods over a campfire.

One thing I absolutely respect about Steve is that he isn't afraid to share his mistakes with the viewing audience.

Rinella is this generation’s Kerouac, Steinbeck, Fitzgerald and Leopold rolled into one! He truly has his own style, but we are lucky to have someone like Rinella who uses words like a paintbrush! Flowing them into a work of art! It’s incredible. His books are amazing, but i think his true art form is in the spoken Narrator breaks in all his shows, this one included!

Awesome show. I fished with Captain Grant yesterday and had the best charter day ever. Captain Grant is a true professional. He knows how to give his clients the best time and he can put you on the fish. Clean boat and great equipment for you to catch the biggest fish you have ever caught. We had 4 guys and we all caught are limits. Such a great day fishing with captain grant on that "big fancy boat.

People who dislike Lake trout usually improperly handled and cleaned the fish after boating it. This dislike is a reflection of the angler not the fish. Great videos l have been waiting for season 2 , thank you for your hard work in making them. All the best from Canada.

I’ve been fishing lake trout for 40+ years. Whenever people ask me if I still fish, the next question is if I have any smoked fish available. Looking at the video of the charter Captain’s smoked fish, it’s perfect. Smoked lake trout is perfection and makes taking this fish for food worthwhile and appreciated.

I have a lot of family in Michigan, all living on or near different lakes. That image of a town on the water, with people boating around to visit neighbors like something out of Venice was one I was accustomed to. Now, years later, with much of that family passed away or moved elsewhere, I miss those trips.

These series are awesome. I too wish they where way longer. Up here in BC Canada where the roads are steep, winding and rough a transom strap over the whole back end of the boat is the way to go nothing worst, than maybe I forgot the cooler, than dumping your boat on the way to the spot!

The one I still have is a 17 foot aluminum with a 50 horse tiller. bought new in 2000. I have fished all over the state. My buddy and I won the walleye tournament trail one year. still got the plaques for first place and biggest fish. Started binge watching meat eater and now the fishing part. Love all of it. GREAT piece of video and journalism , i'm hooked. Thanks.......Rob.

Thank you so much gentleman! Loved seeing that skip on the road, you are human after all. I got so intwined with thoughts of my 3rd boat it was unreal how many things I thought of. This is the coolest thing I’ve found on KZbin. I do the same stuff with my 1979 14ft mirrocraft deep fisherman, all the way from catching lakers and splake in Lake Superior to using it as a drift boat down the Pere Marquette. I love those little 14ft deep Vs and just how versatile they are.
