Kurosawa said the same thing back in the day. "If you want to be a filmmaker, write screenplays. All you need is a pencil and paper. Take a book you like, and adapt it. Doesn't matter what book or what you use it for."

It's incredible to think the impact Kurosawa had in western movies, even if most people don't realize. I don't think any other "eastern" side director had so much impact like his.

I think he's saying Daniels is audacious with his shots because he knows people are there for the story, so he can get as creative as he wants as long as the writing and story are consistent. He's known the storytelling thing for a long time, but Daniels is one of the first he's seen take advarange of it to this extent

This needs to happen: Angelina Jordan in Paris Steven Spielberg Angelina Jordan is a young singer who has amazed the world with her voice and style. She has performed in many countries and events, but one of her dreams was to sing in Paris, the city of love and art. That dream came true when she was invited by Steven Spielberg, the famous director, to be part of his new movie project. Spielberg was impressed by Angelina's talent and wanted her to sing the main theme song of his film, a romantic comedy set in Paris. Angelina was thrilled and accepted the offer, and soon she found herself in the beautiful French capital, recording the song and exploring the city with Spielberg. They had a great time together, and Angelina felt inspired by the culture and history of Paris. She also learned a lot from Spielberg, who shared his wisdom and experience with her. Angelina said that this was one of the best experiences of her life, and that she was grateful to Spielberg for giving her this opportunity.

People who want to be filmmakers fail to understand this simple advice. It doesn't matter how expensive your camera rig is, it doesn't how well you light a scene and make the shot look like a million dollars and it doesn't matter how talented you are at using visual effects you could throw all the money in the world at a film to make it look visually amazing... but if it has nothing unique as a story then it is a failure. It costs almost nothing to write a good story, learn how to write and everything else you need to know about filmmaking comes second.
