Not to sh*t on your take but I feel like that's the point of Lapis, to show that in the early stages of healing people can seem like real *ssholes. She wants through months of imprisonment some at the hands of peridot, most people would probably not want to talk to their wardens at all, besides she never does anything to actively hurt peridot she just tells her to back away upon interaction.
