It fits the music he plays. Ace frehley of Kiss made millions off of blues licks and scales. Joe Walsh will be another who agrees, just play what fits the music, don’t need to always Bach levels of writing for a song to be good. Walsh admits he’s just a straight blues player, didn’t care, and especially in the 80’s when all the shredders were coming up. He still was able to make money playing those blues licks, even when it wasn’t really cool in the 80’s. Steve fits Springsteen’s music fine.
