Nice job. The automatic no acknowledgment was funny

As someone training to be a Final Controller right now, the "no acknowledgment" was hilarious! A lot of the times in simulations the Instructor will respond with "Roger, will not acknowledge further transmissions" just to get a little chuckle between us. Never heard it on a live approach, it would make my day for sure though!

Most airports won't have PAR or ASR won't they? How do you find out if they do? It's certainly not listed on any terminal procedures
@scoot91757 ай бұрын
@@davidt8087 Very few non-military airports will. They are listed but not with the other procedures, they will be in the "Radar Minimums" section

That was way more intense than I expected. Don't think I'll try it any time soon. :)

I love seeing comments like this, here at MCAS Kaneohe Bay we still have the FPN-63 which seems like it was made it the Neolithic age by todays standards of tech! Should be getting the newer digital 68 in a few years to catch up to the rest of the Corps!

Nice, but why a PAR when VFR is possible? 20+ years ago I heard many bad wheather PAR talk downs of commuter planes to the former Twenthe AFB in The Netherlands. The base had TACAN, no VOR, no ILS. @jefish If the experience of this video was intense please watch this PAR approach to Twenthe AFB kzbin.info/www/bejne/iJaZdqt9ebR-mMU
