I upgraded from iPhone 11 Pro to 15 last year. Didn’t go with the pro this time bc i didn’t care about 120hz and i had limited budget. Battery life is so good on 15, dynamic island is great, lighter and camera is so good. 2x camera better than 11 pro. I don’t use macro mode. But i noticed 3 things. 1- AI can easily applicable to 15 and 14 pro. It is not full ready. They should add this phones to the list. 2- those warm cold etc options exist on 15 but they changed the interface so what the point? 3- If i use magnifier on 15 It really does shot better close pictures if you really need. Apple sometimes just add things as marketing not as features or just left phones out for sales point. One software update can elevate old phones but they choose violence and mess up our phones and apple watch (still having battery issues on s9)

I have an Iphone 15 for 1 month and 3 weeks now, and to be honest I really loved the battery. Yesterday I charged 100% 08:24am and I had to put it to charge again 00:47am, so I think that the battery it’s so good. The camera I don’t have nothing to say about it ‘Cause it’s so good and pretty and the Ip15 it’s good to play games. But I have something to complain about the Ip15, it heats so much when I’m charging the phone and I have to let the phone charge without the case to avoid the heat. In general Ip15 it’s a great phone!! (I’m learning English at the moment so if you don’t understand something that I wrote sorry!!!)

I can’t afford the 16 but I definitely would use macro mode because for years I’ve always tried to get as close as possible to some subjects like trees, leaves, fruit, grass, water, rocks, sea, beach etc. You can get some really amazing photos if you try macro photography.

Great comparison video. I liked the little audio symbol swapping back and forth between the phones as you tested the microphone input performance of each of them. Nice touch. One thing I'll point out is that the main camera sensor on the iPhone 15 and the iPhone 16 are the exact same. That's why you can't see any difference between the photos or video when using the main camera.

The differences might be more evident using applications that do RAW images and ProRes/lightly compressed video due to the iPhone 16’s larger sensor (1/1.28). This might not be a justifiable upgrade from the 15/15 Pro but the iPhone 12/12 Pro, iPhone 13/Pro and 14/14 Pro should see significant difference with professional photographers and filmmakers. Personally, I use Blackmagic App with my iPhone 14 which I think uses the same sensor as the iPhone 13 Pro. And, I’ve never had a issue with extreme noise so this just proves how overkill these sensors are for the majority who just point-n-shoot. Most professional filmmakers don’t care about high resolutions and insane frame-rates, at least not below 2K and 120fps.

1:59 You're kinda right, but also not. The tone adjustments ("photographic styles") on 15 and previous were extremely limited in comparison to the 16, and basically useless in practice. Since it could not "undo" any of the HDR effects, it would just add some contrast adjustment on top of the already processed photo, which looked bad. And color wise it could only slightly change the warmth of photos. No tint adjustments or saturation, or "styles". Also, the adjustments would be baked into the photo, and could not be changed afterwards.

@@martinblazek1090 From a performance stand point, you are getting 2 generations ahead with iPhone 16 and the latest Snapdragon 8 elite dunks on the iPhone 16, making the a18 on iPhone 16 a lot more of a future proof with 8gb of ram, iPhone 15 comes with 4 gb ram and a16 processor, so I think the state of smart phone and ai features, 16 is a better buy as its only 100$ more.

Get the 128 GB if you don't use your phone a lot for gaming, downloading movies, and taking a lot of photos or video (videos take up a lot of space if you record for a long time). It's a good storage option if you are a light to medium user. Get the 256 GB if you notice that you are nearing your storage limit, or you will be playing a handful of games or shoot lots of photos and videos. It's great for heavy users. If you are an extremely heavy user, then get a 512 GB model or get the Pro. I have a 128 GB iPhone 16 Plus coming from a 128 GB iPhone 12. The only time when I nearly filled up my storage was when I recorded over an hour and a half of 4K30 fps video on it (that is with about 44 GB of apps and other stuff that I had on my phone). I have iCloud Photo Library so my internal storage clears up once those big videos get uploaded to the cloud, or I would move those videos to a hard drive.
