Did you get the plastic box out of the basement furnace holding the air filter up?

Makes me think one thermostat had been dead a while and they just didn't notice it since the other one kept kicking on the heat/AC as needed. Like how they'll put dummy thermostats in offices and it makes people think they have control over the temp when it's not hooked up to anything, just because it's there and they can push buttons on it.

@@ClickinChicken - Funny, I was thinking the same thing. It’s sad that Democrats have turned the justice system into a kangaroo court only befitting a banana republic. I guess the Soros clan loves anarchy and chaos. It drives money to their hedge fund.

Had to have been some kinda power surge or something. Blew both thermostats at the same time. CRAZY MAMMA!!!

Hey Steve; I'm guessing that the two thermostats are wired in parallel to control one condenser. What mistakenly the owner sets one to cool and the other to heat. Would you get both?

Use lithium AA's in the thermostats no more leaky batteries mama

I didn't know you could wire up two thermostats to work with one HVAC unit ! Change the batteries before they leak. I would have sent the old batteries with the damage thermostats to the battery company for replacement or reimbursement. They need all of that they can get because alkaline batteries all leak it seems.

Crazy. What if one t-stat calls for heat and the other for cool? Should not have 2 t-stats controlling the furnace .
