how you doing with your house..i am fifty year now and I though about buying a home but I feel old for 30 year mortgage , I am in new York too Westchester county..but everything is expensive here

We use wood as a primary heat source, so we only burn about a hundred gallons a year in the oil furnace. Because of that, for the first time in seventeen years, it was time to change the filter. It looked quite a bit like yours! It doesn't help that at least a dozen times I've had oil given to me from a friend who does gas conversions. So yup......I'm sure I've put some crap in there myself. A great video my friend. Extremely helpful! Many thanks to you.

That's great to be able to use different chemistry to clean up on parts. Working in a hospital, if I use "odorless" evaporator coil cleaner, it doesn't bother the patients...its the nursing staff that flip out and say it's bothering them...giving them headaches! What a pain! If you do it and they don't see you apply it...no one has any issues :D Great Job! Nice review.

Just finished work and I come home to see you've posted a vid. Some people watch TV shows or movies. I can watch you . Something cathartic about watching a skilled tech. There are so many clueless bozos out there messing up plant and equipment.Top notch old boy! Do they put detergent in US gasoil/diesel, Steve? That gunk looked like condensation emulsified oil. I can't fault your work. You water heater work is top shelf. As you know I work for AO. Smith tech. I'm not that familiar with oil heaters. I used to work in Plant Hire. We had several 500kBTu mobile oil space heaters. Same principle. Injected blown diesel.

Unbelievable!! And the oil looks sooo clean when they pump it into the tank, You wonder how it can look like #6 fuel oil in the filter housing. Living within 25 feet of a pond, I have a Roth double wall tank outside, (crawl space). With those tanks at least you can set the depth of the supply dip tube in the tank so your not pulling up all that shit into the filter.
@stevenlavimoniere9 жыл бұрын
+Brad1237202 i have had problems with roth tanks there is a rubber hose that drops down into tank and lays on the bottom of tank can suck in muck may times i have had to cut the drop 4 " off bottom of tank to allow for a clean pump from the burner ,you have been lucky so far all it takes is one bad oil dilevry and your tank is loaded with muck sludge ect seen it happen many times not much you can do about it

I have been using dog training wee wee pads under my guns and filters. They suck oil like a sponge and you can either throw them away or hang dry them for messy jobs. They are 2'x2' and you can tape them to any pipe the oil may run down. You can get 100 at Walmart for $18+ and are cleaner and cheaper than rags. We all get asshole customers that complain about the smell or a spill. They are great for cleaning tools and your hands. Just a suggestion.

Lol I keep my shit clean and my oil man still curses me, and my equipment out. I drain my water weekly, check sight glass level daily, even keep my equipment free from dust or cobwebs and he still bitches LOL. Everyone around eastern upstate NY bitches about doing oil, some companies even stopped doing oil service but knowing how maintenance intensive they are I keep all that stuff easy to access and maintain. Have a two decade old W.M. steam boiler that looks only few years old, now if only all the other components (water cutoff, water feeder, thermostat, tank guage) all would work right and jive. Always replacing the other shit!

Someone else was called prior via sidejob hustle and was unavalable to respond to no heat call via frantic homeowner in a timely manor. If this situation happened in warmer weather, suspect you would've never recieved the call. Suspect previous serviceman as insider (truckdriver) at COD oil company. We in the industry know, If homeowner had oil delivery contract the delivery will be automatic via computerized measured consumption and never run out of oil. People are funny when it comes too money in saving a few dollars when possable, though paying more in the long run.
