You game music composers are so underappreciated. Your work is what makes games great! Without a soundtrack, games would be boring. Also, you guys can even make shitty games that have no reason to be called "complete" playable. I (and a lot of my friends) have bought great games with great sound tracks, but I've also bought real bad games JUST because the music is awesome!! Keep creating and, because it's not said enough in the gaming industry, you're one of the most important parts of your dev team!!

I've been put off from wriitng for asset stores because of how low people price their products. I see music packs on their sell for 20 dollars with 16 tracks. On a platform like Premium Beat, I can get paid 600 dollars for a single track, why would I sell my music at such a low price on an asset store, just to get it into a game for sure?

Because $20 x 1,000 sales = $20,000 😬

@@StevenMelin yeah fair enough, but most packs don't sell 1000 times. Even on somewhere like audio jungle, the cheapest you can sell a track for is 5 bucks. That's not even talking about the royallties you can make from library music which again isn't a thing on assets. I think game composers are undervaluing their own work pricing their tracks so low, there is some great music on the unity asset store that would make composers more money elsewhere.

@@SimsAwesome I’m pricing around $100-300 per pack and doing great :) Maybe I’m setting the new bar. And yes! I’m all for selling music elsewhere too, although game music is historically very difficult to sell on library sites.

@@StevenMelin That's good to hear! Yes you are right, getting library music into games can be a pain, I work at the library publisher I write for and its one of our biggest problems to solve at the moment. Thanks for taking the time to answer!

blah. blah. blah. "music packs for game developers is a potential gold mine" I have figured that part out, that is why I'm making music packs for game developers, now I am looking for in depth information about how to take it to the next step. this video has nothing of value to provide
