Agree! I never knew there was any dislike, or the feud with Roxette. I loved Army of Lovers from the moment Crucified came out. But I absolutely adore Deee-Lite, and up to this very day their three albums are one of the most listened to music for me. Ah well, at least these three are still together now and then. And they do have a fun appearance.

I wonder if those people who came to Army's performances in those days understood that their voices were not in this choir at all? Even with my first musical education, I did not understand that they open their mouths to other people's voices. I only realized this when I heard the song "Let the sunshine in" (2001). I immediately realized that in 2001 they completely replaced all those singers who worked in this choir of the 90s with completely different people. The effect was that "Army suddenly began to sing with different voices."😂

Oh I think their voices are in the chorus, but there were at least three or four other singers also. I have the single and it has the credits on it. La Camila may be the only one not actually singing. She has a really deep voice. But they never sing live. They only lip-synch.

But, unfortunately, they did not sing in this choir, because Jean-Pierre and Camilla both sing very poorly. Only Bard could sing there. But even Bard, by way of exception, sang with this choir in only three songs, in the entire history of this project. In 2013, a program about the song "Crucified" was released on Swedish TV. In the finale of this program, the phrase was heard: "Army of lovers is only pantomimes, but other people really sing in the choir." After that, four members of this choir were shown and they sang an excerpt from the song "Crucified", with their actual voices. These are professional singers and they were involved in this project specifically to bring this project to the popularity that it was in the 90s of the XX century. The votes of Army's participants turned out to be insufficient to promote this project, due to the natural weakness of their own voices and the inability of Army's participants to handle their voice in singing. It is for this reason that there is so much spoken language in their songs, not singing.

Indeed, La Camilla has a deep low timbre of voice, referred to in music as "alto". Jean-Pierre has a pronounced baritone voice. But neither a female low voice (alto) nor a male medium voice (baritone) can be heard in this choir. In this choir, two men with high voices (tenors) and the voices of three female singers can be clearly heard, two of whom have high voices (sopranos) and one has a medium voice (mezzo-soprano). Unfortunately, in those three songs where Bard sang with this choir, his voice is not heard at all, since these professional singers cover the weak singing of Bard. Most likely because of this, Bard did not sing with this choir in the rest of the songs, including he did not sing in the song "Crucified". By the way, in their credits they referred to this choir as "backing vocals". In the case of "Army", this is not the case. That's a lie. This choir performs the main vocal part, along with their conversations to the music. It turns out that this is a duet of two pop groups. But they kept silent about it, opening their mouths in music videos and on stage to these other voices. They have never been able to sing live on stage due to the fact that other people sing a large proportion of their songs. In addition, they themselves are unable to control their voices. You need to be a musician yourself to figure this out.

I gues because in the gay bars many people do it. I am not sure why. Perhaps the important thing on stage is to make a show and not about actually singing. So they don't even try to make it look like they sing.

They have never performed their songs live, because they mostly only talk to the music and occasionally some of the band's soloists can sing something in the studio (it was Bard and Peczynski). The rest of the solo vocal parts and parts from this choir are performed by specially hired people. There are no soloists's voices in this choir. Their concerts could be live. But Bard and the rest producers didn't want to invest in it. They announced that it was a "camp" and began to open their mouths, including to other people's voices. In the first line-up of this pop group, all this was maintained only by the artistry and charisma of La Camilla and Jean-Pierre. In the other line-up of this band, only music videos could be perceived normally. All these phonogram attempts on the stage in a different composition did not look at all. Army on the stage, with other female soloists, turned into a farce and a tavern.

Among them, only Bard could sing in the studio. But he didn't sing in that choir.
