The FAA needs to monitor these Class B airspace airports to ensure ATC does not become overwhelmed. Staying ahead of the airport just as important as staying ahead of the flight. Steveo shows you how to do the latter.

I’ve flown into SDF on 35L as an airline pilot many times, it’s never been anywhere near this crazy 😂 usually just two turns into the terminal. They really threw everything at you on this one!

Talk to any UPS pilot during derby or peak. They are maxed out for flight that they can even handle at one time. Then people understand SDF

I've been taking an informal 737NG class conducted by two line-training captains for Ryan Air the past few months, and they're teaching us all of their SOPs, and one of the descent acronyms they use while in cruise is D.A.L.T.A., and this video is certainly Exhibit A if you want a testimony to the wisdom of briefing not only the descent, approach and landing in detail, but also pre-briefing the taxi routing, and the apron procedures/hot spots while you're still in cruise (if not on the ground before leaving) because, as you said, it can be harder to move around on the ground after you arrive than getting there from the air.

Between Stevo/Max/and Grant my instructor says i am one his best students on the Radio. Thansk to Jason Schappart (hope i speeled that right) i was doing touch and goes for the 1st time last week he could not believe how smooth my landings where. I know at 50 i am starting late in life. But my family was not able to send me to flight school as a kid. But i worked hard and now my credit is good enough i got student moans with no consigner. Plus i see several peolle on you starting their journey to the airlines older than i am. Many tha ks Steve for the videos. But i think i prefer VFR wherever possible. Not as many crazy reroutes. LOL

Welcome to Louisville! Belatedly, anyway. You chose the busiest time possible but there’s some fun in that. I know that the powers that be changed the name of the airport but it will always be “Standiford Field” to me. The Standiford family donated the land for the airport so one would think that we could continue to honor their generosity - but no. They’re dead and gone so screw them. Nobody asked me though. Busy busy busy.... It's all just controlled chaos. I just started videoing my flights in my Baron. I have the GPS turned on in the GoPros but all it shows in the stickers is the speed in MPH how do you get it to KTS? Thanks. Tennessee is geographically, culturally, and legally divided into three Grand Divisions of East, Middle, and West Tennessee. There is no such thing as "Northern" Tennessee. You were actually in Middle Tennessee. Just a little FYI.
