This was a great! Serena was great here! However, I beg to hear another collab with Kevin Braheny Fortune. 'Desert Solitaire' in its vinyl form was a most profound recording at every turn. -'Desert Solitaire' & 'Western Spaces' both have cult followings. I think the world is ready for another Roach/Braheny-Fortune collab!

Not saying anyone's passing on anytime soon, but I've been concerned that the ambient masters that I've listened to since the 80's have had no heir apparent...until now.

No reason to stop loving those "80's masters", but seriously there are oodles of brilliant ambient artists on bandcamp, almost too many to keep up with. Of course, nobody sounds *exactly* like anyone else (which is a good thing), but this music isn't going away and is still actively evolving and being produced.

If you have basic entry level piano skills, you can create this music. The hardest part is buying the gear as it can get pretty expensive.

@@TheKeeperoftheGarden Yes but I know many ambient artists will agree with me. Technically it only requires low level music technical skills. However imagination is more important. Kind of like some of Picasso paintings

To create this kind of music, you need to know about harmonics, composition, mixing layers of sounds together into a coloured audio-painting , and so much more. You corrected yourself in your second comment. :-)
