This is a revisit where I take better photos and cinematography to the abandoned luxury hotel opened in 1963. In 1996 the Hachijo Royal Hotel reopened as the Pricia Resort, which closed in August 2003 to re-open in 2004 as the Hachijo Oriental Resort. When the tourism boom came to an end, it struggled to attract guests and finally closed in 2006. The island is probably most famous as a diving spot, a tiny island that no one visits anymore. This is also the last episode to the Japan Ronin Series! ;( But no worries they will be more Japan series to come! I hope you enjoy this video! I loved this hotel when you explored 2 years ago! Lot more nature decay but......it still has it's beauty! Loved the restaurant with all the beautiful sushi plates n bowls. Just pissed me off that people destroy n not respect the property. But someone has moved around things n put into piles. Just amazingly beautiful Steve! Another great video. Bless you for sharing it with me. Stay safe in all the places you are going.

It's hard to believe that just 16 years of no maintenance can lead to such destruction from nature. What a shame no one made use of it to preserve it.

18:16 Spotted the furnace power socket for an electric fire in the left side of the fireplace. I figure that they had wood for show on one end, and a pile of fiberglass logs glowing on the other. 24:45 I'd like an onsen video of what they have on the island. ... Better yet, maybe just an overview ... at a distance. :) Stay safe.

I have always been attached to this kind of building、especially those who have to develop the economy of a region。Each time I am in front of this hotel、I bow to him because something tells me that his soul is somewhere and he is waiting to see people and take care of him。It would still be recoverable、even if it could be converted into permanent residence while keeping its historical aspect。

Sorry for not joining the Ronin Family on Decord Live Chats. I did some research on Decord, and what was required of me on Decord to log in. So I found out that, my IP, Device ID and phone Activities would be stored within their Services. Most importantly, since Decord is a Centralized Communication Platform, all communications go through Decord Official Servers, which states your communication between another user is being recorded and stored. I am not sure if you are aware of this. I do not want, and can not understand, why Decord would keep my personal info, Phone Data and record, and store my conversation with another person? This is invasion of privacy. So I must decline. How do I know, once I log out, if I am still being recorded, once I have given Decord complete access to all my files? The HECK no! Sorry Ronin. You take care, and thank you for the video, and enjoy your flight. I Look forward to your next Exploring Adventure.
